You can do whats called a Parts Life Reset Function.
This function is used by service
specialists only when changing the periodic replacements parts to clear
the life counter. To operate this function, press the "Go" and "+"
switches together until the menu "RESET PARTS LIFE" appears on the LCD
display. Select the required item "part name", using the "+/-" switches,
then press the "Set" switch.
HelloTo reset fuser on your HL-5270DN you have to press "Go" and "+" at exactly the same time. You will be given an extended reset menu. Then you will go for fuser reset. Plz sure the fuser must be OK/replaced before applying this action Good luck Do rate the solution if got help
You may need a new drum, refilled and generic drums don't get a new cleaning blade and toner goes everywhere, some generic toners are not good as well. Also with age the fuser starts letting toner stick and transfer to your prints. As far as cleaning, you can take the supplies out and blow out the interior, may help for a while.
The Fuser is the part inside which gets hot. It will usually be a job for an engineer to replace, however it should try to reset by itself after 10 minutes with the power left on. If not, switch off, hold down the button and switch on whilst holding the button. This will also reset, but if problem remains the Fuser unit will have to be replaced.
