Keep it going for 2 hours. If nothing changes, just unplug. The device probably had a writing error. Mostly these systems have a fallback when something went wrong at the previous boot.

SOURCE: cant transfer limewire music from my computer to my mp3

The Limewire music is located in your My Computer> C:>Documents & Settings Folder>Administrators Documents (your name)>Shared Folder. You can manually drag these files from this folder onto your device, located under My Computer>Device Name (there may or may not be a music folder, you should put it in there if there is). Once you drag & drop the files, you should safely disconnect your device, then you are done. Best of Luck.

SOURCE: album art does not transfer with music on my sandisk mp3 player

Go to the sytem Settings menu and go to this option:
Display Art in Lists
Enabling this feature displays a small image of the song album cover, audiobook
cover, and photos when scrolling through list of these items.
1. Scroll down to Display Art in Lists and select it.
2. Use thumbwheel to switch between On (enable) and Off (disable).

If changing this option to enable fials to resolve the issue, the solution is a bit painful: You will have to manually add the artwork to each single song within an album in Windows Media Player 11, delete the song that is missing the artwork off your sansa, and re-add the songs again after you are done manually ediitng the artwork.

Manually add album art (WMP 11)
1. Run WMP.
2. Click Library on the top bar.
3. Select and right-click the file(s) you wish to update and select Advanced Tag Editor.
4. Click the Picture tab, then click Add.
5. Navigate to the image you wish to use for album art then click Open.
6. Click Apply then OK.

My valoin mp3 player screen is white. what do i do and how do i fix it?

If your Valoin MP3 player screen is white, it could be due to several reasons such as a software issue, a hardware issue, or a firmware issue. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:
  1. Reset the MP3 player: Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds until the device turns off. Then, turn it back on to see if the screen is working properly.
  2. Charge the MP3 player: It's possible that the MP3 player has a low battery, which is causing the screen to display white. Connect it to a power source to charge it fully and check if the screen works after charging.
  3. Update the firmware: Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest firmware for your Valoin MP3 player. Updating the firmware can fix any software issues that may be causing the white screen.
  4. Check the screen connection: The white screen could be due to a loose connection between the screen and the device. Open up the device and check if the screen connection is tight and properly connected.
If none of the above steps work, it's possible that the screen has been damaged and needs to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer or a professional repair service for further assistance.

I just need instructions on how to download music on to my sansa mp3 player?

Normal 0 The answer isn’t as simple as the process because, the SanDisk has two different options for transferring music from a computer, MTP (default mode) or MSC. I’m not going to go into the detailed description of what those acronyms stand for since that would require PMP protocol 101 and I don’t think you came here for a class.

So, for the purpose of answering your question as well as for the sake of brevity, I’m going to assume that you have a model e2xx series unit, and you want to get the music onto your player as easily and quickly as possible right? If my assumptions are correct then follow below.

Your unit defaults to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), which requires SanDisk software media manager or Windows Media Player 10 or higher and forces you to be familiar with either application just mentioned. We are going to bypass this for simplicity of use.

We need to switch your unit to use MSC mode, which in essence allows you to connect your SanDisk via USB, use Windows Explorer to drag and drop files to folders you create on the player.

Process 1: Steps
  1. Open Windows Explorer to where you can see all your drives are listed and make a mental note of the drives currently shown. (Player is NOT connected yet)
  2. Turn your player OFF.
  3. Slide the HOLD switch in the direction of the headphone jack so an orange color shows the device on HOLD.
  4. Press and hold the ( |
  5. Wait 5-10 seconds then check for a new drive (device) listing in Windows Explorer and you should now see your player appear.
  6. Explore the unit, create folders where needed and copy music (mp3’s).
  7. Perform a safe disconnect of your player from USB devices.
  8. Wait for player to finish updating (will display on the screen).
  9. Browse your music and enjoy!

If you prefer to use MSC (default) mode, use Windows Media Player 10 or higher and “sync” your playlist with your player or download the current version of SanDisk Media Manager.

Note: Should you decide to use MSC (default) mode, there is a possibility you will have to update the firmware on your player to ensure the player works with the software required. That's a totally different scenario that isn't comfortable with some users so proceed with caution on firmware updates and always read the Sansa support site before doing this.

I recently put new music on my player and it can't get past the "finalizing update" screen. i can't listen to music, any help

Hi,

the mp3 player has corrupted due to an application or music you transferred into the mp3 player.that's why the screen displays static finalizing update.

To restore the mp3 back to normal, you need to flash the mp3 player it will restore back the memory that was affected.

Take care.

I downloaded songs onto my mp3 but they wont play

Here is the info from Sony:
Is it possible to drag and drop music from the Apple® iTunes® software to the portable player using the Content Transfer Application? Solution
sp.gif sp.gif Yes, if you have iTunes software installed, you can transfer music and playlists from iTunes software to the Walkman® player by dragging and then dropping the files to the Content Transfer application.
NOTES:
  • The Content Transfer application supports data transfer from iTunes software 7.6 or 7.7 to the Walkman player.
  • The Content Transfer application supports data transfer from iTunes software 8.0. However, for playlist transfer from iTunes software 8.0 to the Walkman player, make sure you are using the latest version of the Content Transfer application. The latest version can be downloaded from the Sony Support Web Site at http://esupport.sony.com
  • Digital Rights Management (DRM) copyright-protected files are not supported. iTunes music files may be able to be upgraded to iTunes Plus music files, which do not contain DRM.
  • Do not disconnect the USB connection during data transfer.
  • If there is insufficient free space on the portable player, the data cannot be transferred.
  • The Content Transfer application is included with most newer Walkman Video players. It also is available for additional models in the NWZ-A, NWZ-E, and NWZ-S series. Some models may require an update to be compatible. Additional model-specific information can be found in the Drivers & Software section of the Sony Support Web Site at http://esupport.sony.com.

Cant put tracks on gogear as musicmatch not compatable with vista help

Try transferring with Windows Media Player instead - see if the GoGear icon appears on the left hand side of the WMP screen (while the GoGear isp lugged in). If it does, then you can transfer and delete songs through Windows Media Player.
