HP Deskjet 6980 series - randomly printing out the Report Page throughout the day. Drivers updated, cables reset (connected via USB) but the issue still persists.

The Windows 7 driver should be found by Windows Update when you connect the printer with a USB cable. If you are using the printer in a network, you need to manually add a printer (using the wizard) from the Printers and Devices Control Panel. Start this after you have the printer connected to your router or switch. In this situation your printer will not print when connected wirelessly but would need you to set it up with your system using a USB cable. Try resetting the IP of your system to what is mentioned in the printer and in case there is a router connecting your printer and system then use the IP address of router and put it in your system. This should help you fix this printer issue.

HP Deskjet 3500 serie --
There could be a Software issue or hardware issue --
1) To check the software issue
Print a Test Page -- from the computer
2) To check the hardware
Press the Power button to turn the product on.
Press and hold the Power button
Open and close the front cover four times.
Release the Power button. The self-test will print
and it it is printing the hardware is fine ...
3) Then you can check by changing the USB Cable connection

you'll need to reset the print mode to single-sided, also check the print/text size

Try to update your printer drivers

it can be the problem of cartridges got faulrty so that needs replacement any of the two cartridge can be faulty. or the wire less connection issue.in that caee just conmnect the printer with a usb wire and check out.if same problem in connecting wire then its cartridge issue foir sure.

Have you tried reloading the software and downloading new updated drivers?
