I need to move the power cord from floor to ceiling

I need to move the power cord from a floor power plug to ceiling power plug and the cord is to short so I need to change the exit position of the power cord from bottom of the AC unit to top of the AC unit. How can I do this, I have an LG MA12AHM?

The AC is not having any warranty. The person who installed the Ac long time ago, mentioned me that I can move the power supply easy. The problem is a don't know how to access the power supply cord in order to modify its position.

I've already used a heavy duty extension cord, but it doesn't look goon on the wall (seems like a painting with a attached cord). I don't intend to remove the power cord from the AC unit I just need to know how to remove the cover and what's underneath to be able to reach the power cord and reposition the exit point of the cord from the bottom of the AC unit to the top. I guess a schematics with the way to mount the AC unit on the wall will be very useful for me. I've searched the net but I found only electronic schematics. Thank you for your help any way. Best of luck.

Do you know if you will have a warranty after this modification? Suggest power supply be modified to provide safe operation. Is this possible?

I would recomend you purchase a "heavy duty" (12 guage) short extension cord for appliances. You could remove the face cover and modify the unit so the cord goes up but I don't think it will be much longer nor will it be as safe. The cord has a moulded gromet mad onto it so you may only be able to move it to the side. You would have to make a similar mount on the unit (cutting metal and plastic parts to hold the cord properly. The short HD cord will not cause any loss in the units operation, warranty or unit life.

Hi you could have a clogged drain pump or obstruction in it. Remove the lower bottom cover. Have a container or towels to catch water. Removed the drain cover by turning counter clock wise. Sometimes you have to remove the pump to fully and clean. You also need to plug the washer into another outlet. If possible use an extension cord use the extension for test only.

Best way to paint a ceiling

Be sure to lay down tarps on the entire floor and move anything you wouldn't want to get paint on. You need a roller that can extend to the height of the ceiling and then you just roll in a similar fashion as a wall. Just be sure to go in about the same size sections as you would on a wall.

I need to install a ceiling fan in a room where there is no lighting fixture, only a switch that controls floor lamps

If you have wiring experience it can be done, if not I recommend picking up a do-it-yourself wiring book from home depot or other home improvement store. To make your job easy you can run your fan and the floor lamps off that switch as the fan does not use that much power. You will also need access about the ceiling to put up a fan box to hold the fan otherwise you need to pull some ceiling down; enough to go from joist to joist to put in the box. The fan box you need to get is a Westinghouse fan box capable of holding at least 50lbs. Then all you need to do is run your wires and attach your fan.

Power light does not go on when plugged in

1. You may have a faulty power adapter.
2. Check the connector , cord and the AC plug for breaks.
3. Take the battery out and then try to power the pc up. if you get power then the adapter is OK. If not you need a replacement adapter.

Just moved and now my HP 812c won't turn on- is there a on/off or reset switch I am unaware of?

There is no reset

Possibke causes other than failure of equipment:

Power cord(s) not seated properly.

Power convertor plugged into a SWITCHED receptacle intended to plug in a floor lamp and switch is off.

ALWAYS run all your computer stuff from a single receptacle to avoid ground loops and possiblle damage.

Wireless ceiling fan

there are remote controlled fan out on the market.

there are also devices the make it remote, but the cord is for power so i dont think you can hide the wires to much without going thru the ceiling.

if you have no access of the cieling then the wire must be there for powering of the fan run along the wall, try stapling the wire to the cieling like around the egdes of the ceiling then perhap painting the wire the same color of the ceiling.

you do not have much option to work with.

you have to make sure you buy the right remote controll

but it still need power.

there a site for remote controls for fan or just buy a new fan all together. im sure they put the plug there for a reason because if you use the fan alot they do go bad.

Good luck

Monitors need power cords to function, & there is nowhere near enough power in the data cable to power the monitor. So, it sounds like the power cable got pulled out somehow and is now lying on the floor. The power cable will be a small plug like you have on a radio or other similar devices instead of the standard sized plug that older monitors have. Once you plug the power cord back in, it should be fine.

Good luck!
