SOURCE: Can't eject cd magazine - E-99 error message

I had the same problem. I opened up the unit and found out that there is a plastic gear that moves the loader. When worn the loader can not load tha magazines nor change cd's. I replaced the gear and the cd autochanger worked fine.

No power to the disc changer, how do I manually eject the magazine

There is a manual eject slot on the side of the CD changer. You will need a small flat head screwdriver or a pry tool to insert into the slot.

I have a Kenwood CD Auto Changer KDC-C715, the cables are missing and I can't get the cartridge out to retrieve the CDs

If there is not a tray loaded into the cd transport mechanism, you can use a thin ruler or something similar and slide it from side to side to eject the magazine.

How do I remove the CD magazine from a kenwood kdc-c462 which is out of car & has no power?

I had the same unit, with the same issue. Unfortunately, There is no way to eject the magazine without power to the unit. I took the unit to a stereo shop where they plugged it into a control unit (powered off), powered up the system and ejected the magazine for me.
