SOURCE: sub output

With RCA cables. Just plug into the preamp outputs on the back that are labeled for "subwoofer" and run them to your amp. In your on-screen EQ, you'll have a separate adjustment for the sub (which adjusts that set of preouts, without affecting the tone in the rest of the speakers).

SOURCE: car stereo pre-out signal noise

Two things, a ground loop isolator in-line with the RCA's between the head unit and the first amp.....also a noise reducing capacitor ( $5 or$6 at an auto parts store) on the alternator 12v post will reduce or remove the hum.

How do hook up an amplifier and subwoofer to my car stereo?

If your stereo has preamp outputs, I would recommend connecting those to the input RCA connections on the amplifier. The connection from the amplifier to the subs is dependent on the capability of the amp and the impedance/power level of the sub.

Hello i am rohit i have avh-6850 in my car i want how connect front and rear speaker and subwoofer there only two rc output one is front and other is non-fad & subwoofer tell how to connect front and...

If you only have 2 sets of pre-outs, you will either have to split the fronts into front and rear channels and use the other for a subwoofer signal, or else utilize an equalizer or other preamp that separates out a sub channel. I have an Alpine EQ that I send one stereo pair into, and it sends out front, rear, and sub outs. That allows for front/rear fade, and independent sub level adjustment.

I got the same problem since thair is no sub out for this deck

Hello livinglifeas,

You can connect the regular preamp outputs to a sub amp. Dedicated sub outputs will normally have a built-in crossover whereas the regular front/rear preamp outs will be full-range. Just make sure that the amp you use for your sub(s) has a "low pass" filter.

Hope this helps.

Mtx 1501D

if your power light is on then check your preamps (sub out from head-unit).Maybe you need to turn on that output thru head unit's audio menu. Also when using dual voice coils if you wire them out of phase there will be no output

Jbl 600.1 wired properly only getting about 50 watts output. i tried single and dual voice coil subs. wtf?

your subs might be too powerful for your amp, if thats not the problem try changing your RCA cables, or try turning up the preamp output on your head unit
