If your DVD player has HDMI, use it. If not, you'll need to buy a cord for it. Look on the back of the TV and the back of the DVD player. There should be colored connectors on each one. On the TV, it will be an input. On the DVD player, it'll be an output. There will be either 3 connectors or 5 connectors on the TV and DVD player. You'll need a cord with either 3 connectors on each end (red, white, yellow), or one with 5 (red, white, blue, green, red). Once you figure out which cord you'll need, buy it from any store that sells TVs and hook it up. The link below has pictures Video Connectors Tutorial Hardware Secrets
hi; try to see if your disk is in good condition no scratches or peeling in coating when it is still not playing try other disk. also try check the player, inspec if the disk is spining by hearing the hum inside if it ticking your player lens is failing. its needs a replacement.
It seems that you haven't do the right hook up of your rca cord to your amplifier/reciever etc. If you used only the L/R channel on the reciever and not the 5.1 channel, hook up the rca cord to ML/MR to your Pioneer DVD Player. This is color coded as Red and White.
Hope it may help you.
Thanks for using Fixya.
The the RCA cable YELLOW,RED,WHITE should hook in those holes said "OUT" on the DVD player. The tv should get the other end RCA cable YELLOW,RED,WHITE said "IN" hook in those holes in the tv.Now ur tv should play dvd disc,on the tv mode or av modes like 1,2,3 modes.
try resetting defaults Place DVD player in standby mode Push in the stop button on the hardware unit and keep pushed in Push in Standby button on the remote provide while doing the above Then put into standby mode again insert your DVD and see if it changes. All Happiness
TRY USING THE RED AS THE YELLOW AND THE YELLOW AS RED, THIS SHOULD MAKE ONE SIDE OF THE AUDIO NOT WORK AND THE VIDEO WORK. REPEAT WITH THE YELLOW/ WHITE. TRY DIFFERENT CORDS. TRY IT ON A DIFFERENT SYSTEM. YOU MAY HAVE KNOCKED SOMETHING LOOSE INSIDE IT.
It's quite straight forward, you wiill need a Scart connector. Then connect one end into the rear scart socket of the DVD & the other end into the scart 1 socket of the TV again at the rear. When you play a DVD just select the AV (1) input on the TV. On some TV's AV can also be identified as Aux.
