It uses SD cards. Make sure you get an SD card and not a higher-capacity SDHC card.

The EX-Z750 uses SD cards up to 2GB in size. These cards should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store.

Some digital cameras can take pictures with out any memory card installed, some have no way to use a memory card. Most digital cameras use some kind of memory card which can be inserted in the camera's card slot. When the card is not installed, some cameras can take internally stored files, either video or picture files. In order to get those files on a card, a card must be inserted in the memory card slot then go to the menu to copy the files to the memory card.

Try to re-insert the card. If that doesn't help try to reformat it/delete all its contents. Also check in the manual what kinds of cards does the camera generally work with (although i doubt that is the problem).

To my knowledge, the Vivitar ViviCam 3315 has an expandable memory by using a Secure Digital (SD) memory card up to 2 Gb as shown here.
