Question about Franke Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines
What you would have to do is take the side panel off to get at the solenoid. It is probably sticking closed and not letting the water fill into the boiler.

this is usually due to the overtemp device activated on one of the thermoblocks, an engineer will be required to replace this item,

Remove the water tank out. Then turn off the machine. Then turn on the machine. It will give message, water tank out or no water tank.Insert water tank then see.If it go further "please wait".
But if its still not going beyond please wait, then its internal fault. The temperature thermostat is stopped working or its not heating inside. So the unit is just displaying please wait. The thermostat and heating element has to be checked and replaced.------------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

SOURCE: Hi, my Franke Flair does not respond when I push any of the buttons to make coffee, water, milk etc. it just displays the 'SELECT PRODUCT' message. The rinse, clean and descale buttons all work.
Unplug unit to reset the settings completely...If you have the same problem call manufacturer to save time...
