How do i reset the code on an ABUS 145 series combination padlock

Using the existing code, unlock the padlock.
Rotate the unlocked shackle 180 degrees and then press it down.
While the unlocked shackle is depressed manipulate the code wheels to the desired code.
Release the shackle and rotate back 180 degrees.

Take it back to the shop. They will provide the correct combination or reset the combination; or will owen you a new lock or refund (if you did not actually forget the combination). Abus makes good locks.

I have a dial combination Brinks padlock that I can't open. I know I'm dialing the correct numbers, but it simply won't unlock. Any ideas?

Take it back to walmart or the dollar store, trade it for a master.

They work forever.

this step by step guide should help you reset the lock, if its not the exact same lock, its the closest thing that Yale currently makes. Be aware you cannot reset locks like these unless they are open already, atleast not to my knowledge
