Where can I get a replacement for my battery cover 550 Nikon Prostaff ranger finder ?

I had the same issue with my Nikon Laser 800 rangefinder. I sent it in and they wanted $311.00 to fix it so I bought a new one for $300.00 off EBAY. Today I was missing around with my old rangefinder and noticed after I put the battery in I could hear something loose in the rangefinder. There is a little metal tang in the bottom where the battery goes that holds tension on the battery that was bent down. I bent it back up about 3/16" and put the battery back in, now it works fine.

there are no timing specs for that vehicle, the vehicle pcm does all of that. always mark your gears and chains when you take them off. if you just replaced the cover and thats it, there should be no reason why you would have to set the timing-

SOURCE: need the proper tool for a nikon prostaff range finder

Harbor Freight has a kit that has them in it and most industrial tool supply companies have them. It's a security screw. there are many kits availably with an assortment of bits in them. Drill Master has a 100 piece kit that's pretty cheap. Item#91310

Same problem. Conclusion: just because it has the NIKON name does not mean it is not a piece of Chinese junk.

I have the rifle hunter 550 , and I have replaced the batty and now it will not turn on at all any questions, sorry to awnser with another question., but the web site will not let me post it.
