SOURCE: I have an old sanyo vwm 710 vcr. I have a new

Have you tried pressing the INPUT button on the remote; try pressing it up to 3 different times because I believe it sequences 2 or 3 times. With mine, hooked up to my RCA TV, 1st push puts it in Line1 on a blank blue screen, 2nd push shows Line 2 on a blank blue screen, and 3rd push brings it back to my TV with my satellite picture showing.

Sincerely, Rick

On the Zenith, turn the power off. Hold down the Channel up or down button on the machine itself (not the remote) for 5 seconds, it will say RF03 hold down until it says RF04.

I have Dish network. I want to record TV onto the VCR, but cannot get channels to record. i can playback videotapes and the record works, but cannot figure out how to get the signal to record.

The output of the Dish Network box should be hooked to the input of the VCR.
The output of the VCR should be hooked to the input of the TV.
The VCR should be on channel 3 to record. Select channel to be recorded on the Dish Network box.

It sounds like you have Dish Network box output hooked to TV input.
& VCR output hooked to an aux. input on the TV.

Internally change channel 3 to 4 on VCR

Hi, In most VCRs, as you have posted, there is a switch at the back where you can select the output to either Ch 3 or 4. In some cases, the switch is deep inside and you have to remove a small squarish rubber covering to expose the hole. It is normally close to the antenna input/output. More often than not it is a simple sliding 2 position switch. You would need any tool that can reach and sturdy enough to slide the switch. Internally program output channel selector is very possible, I would guess that its selectable via the menu set-up tabs. A question pls, How did you "I tried to manually change the channel to 4, but the VCR reverted back to channel 3..." Hope this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up or further information. Good luck and kind regards.

I can't hook up my dvd player to my quasar model v v 1309 because we don't have a remote and can't change the input. The screen is blue and the channels change.

You should be able to change the input mode by changing the channel up or down past the regular channels (so channel down 3, 2, 1 > Line > 125 (if cable source) or 69 (TV source).

A replacement remote can be gotten from remotes.com: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=VV-1309&uuid=12897739886740 . With the remote, press Action and then enter the menu then choose Input Select and then choose Tuner or Line.

I hope this helps.

Wiring diagram, connecting DVD & VCR to a television

Need to select proper input on the TV when playing DVDs. For VCR, select channel 3 or 4.

For cable TV or satellite TV , change channels on the proprietary box and record channel 3 or 4 on VCR. You can also hookup RCA cables (3) from cable box etc. to VCR. Select LINE input on VCR if connecting RCA cables.

How to hook my directv to digital input to lcd tv j32l637

I don't know what flat screen tv you have, but you must be aware of the coaxial input behind the TV.It could be analog input, digital input and OUTPUT!!
Anyway,if you connect your basic directv box to your digital input,it will not serve you any purpose to get HD channels and you don't have the HD directv box.The TV will not display digital channel for you because if you use coaxial input to TV,you should be under either channel 3 or 4 and be sure either channel had been saved under memory. In order to change channels, you will need to change it from your directv box.
JUST LIKE a VCR connect to TV.TV will be under channel 3 or 4,and you will change your channels from the VCR.Don't forget to scan all the channels from the VCR!

Use of tv channel 3 or 4

You either have to choose either 3 or 4 or - instead of connecting to your TV through its tuner, go directly to the Audio/Video inputs using A/V cable (also known as RCA cable - probably has red, white, and yellow ends) Connect it from the color coded outputs on the VCR to the similar inputs on the TV. The TV may have several sets to choose from. Take you choice, but set the TV's input selector to this same designation when you want to watch the VCR. Sometimes its is called "VIDEO" sometimes A/V, sometimes "AUX"

I am not conversant with VCRs sold in the United states, but - a VCR is a VCR is a VCR. So, can i suggest an alternate solution to your problem? Why not use the AV out sockets of your VCR and hook them to the AV IN sockets of your TV? In this manner, you you also get a better image. And of course, you feed In the signal source (Antenna, cable Box, etc) directly to the TV, and use your remote to switch to AV mode whenever you desire to watch movies or Tape.

I have not heard of one that doesn't have the selector switch to change to 3 or 4, Could it perhaps be in the front behind a door or just somewhere else?
