try turning ringer speaker volume down. if that does not work, then remove battery for 10-15 minutes and replace and try again.

You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.

SOURCE: Cleer ID display on NEC Ranger DK824 telephone system
I have a DK824 I bought in 2000 which did not have called ID capability - that was explained to me on purchase - if yours is 2 years old they must have kept the models the same for a long time though

hi . have you tried to check the phone control button located at the lower left portion or the built in acoustic chamber inside the phone that provides air pressure to maximize volume has been damaged. It has been 2 years already and have not check..This acoustic chamber helps to maximize the volume..Have you tried using the headset. If still headset doesn't work then there is a problem with acoustic chamber inside and it needs to be checked by the manufacturers or providers..

This is a phone system phone and each station you want to ring when a certain phone line rings has to be programmed into the system. This is not something you can change at the phone itself. You will either need to pay a company to make programming changes or locate a programming and installation manual for your phone system (not the phone) and try to re-program it yourself. If you have not done this before it will not be easy but it may be worth the effort so you can continue to make your own changes instead of paying someone $200 per hour to do it for you.
There is also the remote possibility your phone's ringer is broken. You can try swapping your phone with another of the same type and model to see if it will ring.
