APEX DVD PLAYER

Some DVD players are quite fussy about the brand of media (reflectivity issues) - I have used an Apex in the past, was an Apex AD1200, it seemed to play all media I threw at it, however it was fussy with some brands like FUJI DVD+R, while it played other brands well (verbatim, maxell, taiyo yuden, sony, TDK, etc.)

Your model AD1100W does support DVD-R and DVD+R - make sure your DVD+R is authored according to the DVD-Video specifications. If it is not playing AT ALL and is finalized and plays well on other players, then it is a media compatibility issue - Try burning on another brand of media that should solve your problem. There is not much you can do to the Apex player anyway, there is no firmware you can update. Avoid lens cleaner too - To rule out other problems try playing ORIGINAL pressed discs (movie rental, or original DVDs) and see if it plays well, if it does then your apex simply does not like your media - use another brand and see if it helps.

It play all regions in US an Canada it in NTSC software format.All US,and Canada in softwares it this regions.Europe in PAL regions,and Asia play in that format PAL too .

Does it happen for all dvd disc or some particular dvd disc. If it is with some particular disc then clean the dvd and try them. If the problem exist for all the dvd then try to clean the lens by dvd lens cleaner and try to play. dvd lens cleaner will be available in dvd stores.

What it so far done, it looks pretty fine. I'd break apart the problem if is posible to do it, i mean maybe you have some other sets around the house or some friend who have them.

• i'd test the dvd/vcr in a different tv
• i'd test the tv with a different dvd

i would start over again the installation after this test.

the reason is to know if you can trust in those sets and second maybe with some other try the installation works

you have this ploblem because u burn your DVD or CD wrong if u want ur DVD movie play on player u have to burning by (for example if u use nero) DVD video file and it will convert file that a player can play it

hi , you have to open your dvd player and clean you laser lens whit a cotton swabs and alcohol do not use peroxide. Do it slowly and be careful

it reads unknown disc with every dvd movie we try to play

Try cleaning the lasers lens with an anti static cleaning wipe. I used " nice'n clean" that I had purchased from Walmart to clean my laptop screen. My dvd player started back playing after gently wiping the laser lens.
