The battery actually is exactly AA size, just has pins added. Having wasted a bit of time serching for a solution on the internet, I finally put a cheap AA non-chargeable instead of the original one. Just bent contacts in the shaver a little bit. The battery lasted about an hour or 10 shaves. In the end I didn't have to throw away a good shaver just for a dead battery and now don't need to carry a bulky charger when travel, but will try to use a ni-mh rechargeable one day.
