I have a BP-DL900 Jump Starter and it will not take a charge. I plug it into AC for several hours but it will not charge. What should I do.

These units have a meter on them that shows if it is full or dead. If it will not charge from an AC wall socket, the unit is probably no good. Check the charger that it comes with to make sure that it doesn't need to be reset. If it has no reset button, you may need to return it for an exchange.

Need confirmation that the AC adaptor for Duralast jump start model BP-DLG is a 12volt 450ma. Is this correct or do I need something else?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
You will not damage the battery.. you will destroy your AC Adapter charging system because the Jump start system will draw more amperage than your AC Adapter can provide. The Jump start system will charge at a minimum of 2 amps up to a maximum of 6 amps. Your AC Adapter will only provide 1.3 amps max. I.e it will go up in smoke.

There is a battery inside which may need to be replaced. To check, run the compressor (it runs off
the battery) - if the compressor dies quickly, then the battery has failed to charge and would
need to be replaced. You may want to check your Warranty Management software (or
shoebox) to see if your Starter/Air Compressor is still under warranty - if so, replace it.
Duralast products are carried exclusively by AutoZone, Inc.
The Duralast web site: www.duralastparts.com is useless - it only shows automotive parts,
and I cannot find the product at www.autozone.com, so it seems that AutoZone fails to support this
product with replacement batteries or other replacement parts (or even an online Users manual).
