Dear Sir:


If your condensing unit has coils that are bent, they should be straightened out as much as possible for proper performance of the unit. You cannot straighten the fins properly without a special tool called a fin comb. These tools come in a variety of styles including single, multiple or interchangeable heads having different fin comb sizes and counts to best match the coil fin size of the repaired unit

No cold air
just run the airconditioner for 10 to 15 minutes or more and check the air filter if you see ice deposit on the fins where the filter is installed then it is for sure that there is cooling gas leakage.
contact you local dealer.
are you sure that the ac is in cooling mode hope it is not on fan only.

GE airconditioner is not cool, outdoor unit is not working.
Does the compressor relay pull in on a call for cooling? Is there voltage at the relay coil? What type of thermostat do you have? Can you jump R to Y on the t-stat subbase? If you can do that and the compressor relay pulls in then replace the t-stat.

John, the few times I had any problems from the outdoor fan motor I ended up changing the motor and board for the outdoor motor. In all scenarios the motor give up which in turn damaged the board. The way we troubleshoot this is to call for cool/heat and verify the proper voltage is being sent to the motor. And also by checking resistance/ohm values to the motor.

To get proper cool, keep the tips as follows:
1. Check air filter is cleaned. 2. Check indoor coil is cleaned. 3. Checkindoor blower motor is working. 4. Keep in cool mode. 5. Set temp minimum 3degrees less than room temp.6.Check compressor is working with correctpressure.

When the airconditioner is on, the big unit (blower) outside does not work> When we finally got it to work, the air coming out is not cold, it's just like a blower, it's like the air it is blowing...
Check the compressor is working with exact amps. If not short of gas or no gas. Check thermostat setting 23 degree with cool mode.
