try to run the manual calibratio from the setings.
run "manual calibration"
move the ribbon out from the sensor (with the print head open) and take out 3 or 4 labels from the rollar and put that blank label paper unther the sensors on the left,
say "ok"
wen appear "reload all"
put the ribbon and the normal labels on the correct possition, and say "ok"
try to run sext the sensor profile.
save data (twice on "setup button")

SOURCE: I turn on the zebra

1.Double check that the ribbon and the labels are routed correctly. 2.Make sure the media guide is holding the labels against the inside of the printer and not moving to the right away from the media sensor. If the labels are sliding to the right as they come out, increase the left side head pressure on top with a flat blade screw driver. Download the user manual at zebra.com .Check the media type and sensor type, and set for thermal transfer if using a ribbon.

LA IMPRESORA ZEBRA ZM400 CUANDO SE ENCIENDE APARECE EN LA PANTALLA LCD, EL MENSAJE HEAT OPEN, COMO QUITARLO?

there is a possibility that you need to just the print head assembly, if when its at close position, the print head is far from the sensor.

With the print head is open, you will see 3 screw on the left, louse them and adjust all the print head mechanism, up and down some milliliters tie the screws again, close the printhead , try again and see if errors desapeer

When I close the head, the alert 'Head open' doesn't disappear anymore until I switch the power off and on.

Please try to open the head full until it has contact with the magnet on the inner side of the housing, than close again and press pause key to release printer from pause mode. If calibration is activated, the printer should calibrate afterwards.

However, if there are further things and you are looking for the manual you will find it here:

Error Condition , Head Open on Zebra printer model: Z90-401-00204 We have play around the pressure but still the same. What would be the root cause? Mechanical or electronic board or sensor.

If the Head Open condition is showing when the head is closed, then the problem is with the Head Open Flag. It is located on the electronic side of the printer. You need to take off the side cover (with printer turned off). The lever that raises and closes the printhead is attached to a shaft (the pressure toggle is also on this shaft). Follow this shaft to the electronic side of the printer.

At the end of this shaft, there will be a black rectangular piece of plastic. This is the head open flag. When printhead is closed, the flag is positioned at the six o'clock position between two optic sensors. When the printhead is opened, the flag rotates clockwise to about the nine o'clock position. If the HEAD OPEN message appears when the head is closed, then the flag is out of position, usually it has become loose on the end of the shaft.

The flag is attached to the end of the shaft with an allen screw. Make sure the head is closed, position the flag to the six o'clock position between the two sensors and tighten the screw. this should take care of the problem.

Hope that helps !

Printing error condition

First clean the sensor tag and sensor head open and tape. Then perform a calibration label pressing the PAUSE and FEED buttons and turn on the printer, release the keys until it starts to move the label. Wait until you are finished and ready to print.

Zebra 170 xi labela are printing on top of each other

Don't forget to rate this.

You can download Zebra manulas from here. https://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/service_support.html here is a section of the calibration you require. Sorry it will not allow me to attach. i think issue with site usage.

Anyway press PAUSE to pause printer. Then find & press CALIBRATION, it will ask when you want to calibrate either at power up or after the print head is open & closed. I would select Power up since when you change lables out you should do so with printer off.

Good luck, post any questions to this & also rate it.

Zebra 140xi II error

If you open the case there is a sensor that detects whether the head is opened or not that is connected to the open and close lever. Sometimes the tab that blocks the sensor when it is closed get out of alignment or comes loose or the sensor is jarred loose. Make sure the tab breaks the beam.
