You need to Download "Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista" instead of ActiveSync. Make sure you download the correct version that matches your Vista OS level (ie 32 or 64 bit)
All versions of activesync will handle this device providing it is powered by Microsoft Widows Mobile, Microsoft Windows CE, or a similar Microsoft Windows Powered OS. I am unaware of what your specific device utilizes; however I do know that all versions of ActiveSync will provide support to devices listed above.
The CD is most likely a support plug-in or a remote install for desktop to device software.
Please consult Dell's support and Drivers site for any additional information or pieces of software you may require. You should however, providing your desktop/laptop computer is using > Windows XP, be able to utilize limited access abilitys of your device (such as transfer of files) given Windows Mobile device recognition.
Please let us know if you require further information.
You will need the disk that contains the firmware. The best thing to do is check on Amazon or ebay and upgrade to the highest firmware your device can accept. I belive the cost for a downloadable copy is between $5-10. If you do this make sure to follow the instructions for you can irrevocably render the device useless. :-(
Same problem. Soft and hard reset can't even stard any advice screen. When the problem started, it was frozen at the dell round simbol, that i just could turn it off by removing battery. Now, its even worse, the screen is off, even after pressing the two and tree buttons at the same time, it doesn't hard reset. What else should i do?
Windows mobile does come wth a task manager it's in the settings window under system > memory > running programs. However, this is not a process manager, but Airscanner mobile antivirus pro comes with a good process manager built in as well as a good lot of other stuff as well.
Did you try a soft reset of the device to get rid of it?
You should be ok running any software designed for the ARM processor.
