I am trying to install my CD Nikon Reference Manual. I have put the CD in my computer but nothing is happening. I want to be able to download my pics on my camera?

Can i assume your using Windows? Go to my computer, locate the drive where CD is located, open and find files or set up for the Nikon. If allready set up then just locate the manual (click on that). Should open if you have Adobe in your system. GL

Disconnect the phone cable USB then open Nokia PC Suite (I presume you've got a Nokia N70) At the top of the PC Suite window go to Settings/Manage connections, tick the two bottom boxes, Serial Cable [CA 42] and USB cable, TWICE so as to highlight the Configure button.
Click OK, then follow the instructions to connect the cable to the USB then the other end to the phone.
It should now work if you're lucky, if not do a restart.
After restart connect the phone to the cable.
Give plenty of time for the icon on the PC to go green before clicking it to open PC Suite.

What system Are You Using? Im Using windows Seven And Vista, It Will Not Work . Just Use Sd card Reader Or Flash Usb Sd reader.

New Coolpix L20. Driver does not install with Windows Vista. Have un-installed all USB, re-booted, etc, but nothing helps. Have inserted Nikon CD and tried installing driver from there, but still...

I would take out the SD memory card and use it with a card reader like this one: http://bit.ly/5fruhB . You simply take out the SD memory card and put it in the card reader. Then put the usb end of the card reader into your computer and download the pictures that way.I also recommend that you download Picasa, a free photo organizer/editor for your pictures: http://bit.ly/5f6HEt This way you bypass the lousy nikon software altogether. I have a nikon coolpix L20 and HP memory card.

hey you can put your photos from your camera to your computer and view it directly but if you want to do the vice versa(i.e computer to camera) if you just like that copy the photos from your computer and paste them in your device's memeory then you cannot view them . instead you have to install the picture package transfer from your installation cd(may be a different name for nikon software) and then connect your camera via usb. open the software you installed then you should transfer the photos to camera from computer via the software only. this happens because your camera is an embedded system and its not a computer.for your information hp and nikon have nothing to do with this issue..

if you ave the camera's installation cd try reinstalling it
if nothing happens try my computer you may find it under removable drive if it still does not work and ur pics has been saved on a memory card try using a card reader to access the file on it

How to download program to put pics from the camera on the computer

A digital camera driver allows the camera to communicate with a computer's operating system. Drivers can either be installed to your computer from the Nikon software CD or downloaded from "Digital camera driver download-Windows " Article.

Why can't I run a Slideshow in Nikon View?

In order to display slideshows in Nikon View the Apple QuickTime software must be installed. QuickTime is installed from the Nikon View CD or can be downloaded, for free, from the Apple Computer web site: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/ Quicktime is available for Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP as well as Apple Mac OS 9 and X. If Apple QuickTime is not installed, when the "Slideshow" button is clicked the computer will "beep" and nothing else will happen. Installing QuickTime and restarting the computer will allow the show to display as desired.
