The biggest problem I have encountered with back up now is when you try to run a complete restore the program just can't handle it. Try breaking the restore down into smaller jobs 2 to 3 gg.

SOURCE: hi I'll briefly describe my problem I've
You might need to get an older version of NTI Backup Now. I had the same issue. I was using Backup Now 4 which saved everything as .nbf.files. I downloaded a trial version of Backup Now 5.5 and tried to restore the files only to find .nbf files are not compatible with version 5.5!
I sent a rather facetious e-mail to NTI moaning about this issue and they sent me a trial version of version 4. If I were you, I'd do the same.

All my .nbf files are now restored.

I'm not shure this is the solution but it's a possibility : has the letter of your external Toshiba eventually changed ?

Here are some free utilities/tools that can help you do a directory/file comparison. My favorite is Windows Commander but they changed the name to Total Commander. Its FREE though! You can find out more about this utility at the following website. http://www.ghisler.com/Or go straight to the Total Commander download page. http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm
