Where are the bios settings located?

Depending on what make & model of computer you have, right after the first beep during boot-up you will need to hit the "DEL" key or a function key. Watch the screen closely during boot-up and you should see a message that says "Hit DEL during startup to access BIOS." Dell computers usually use the "F2" key. You may have to tap it a few times to get into the BIOS. BE CAREFUL when you change settings in the BIOS. You can make the computer stop working if you change the wrong settings.

HOW TO REST MOTHERBOARD AFTER CHANGING BATTERY

If you changed the CMOS battery you in effect reset it. On boot up, go into the BIOS setup and check all settings. Even if you don't change any of the BIOS settings, save them as if you did and it will reboot. Should be OK then.

Bios settings changed automatically

Have you tried to update the bios? One of the latest versions BIOS Update [DPP3510J.86A] 07/15/09. But verify to ensure that you download the correct bios for your board. There are a few options available. Also check the jumper pins for the bios on the motherboard normal or (default) setting is pins 1-2 jumped.

Bios check sum error

Your bios defaulted. The battery keeps: date, time, and bios settings. You need to get in your bios and change the settings to what they need to be. You can enter the bios by hitting DEL during boot.

Update my Intel D845GVSR Bios Version to VA84510A.86A.0056.P20, then my USB driver is not working at all.

I followed the suggestion of changing the BIOS configuration to the recovery mode, however one thing was missing - it required a startup disk and I didn't have one. I then changed the BIOS configuration to the config (pins 2 & 3) mode, booted up and went to the BIOS/CMOS setup and a new menu tab appeared called "maintenance". I went to the advance tab and selected USB configuration and, instead of a blank screen, there appeared a selection for USB support and it showed disabled. I changed the setting to enabled and three more lines of information regarding USB came up, but required not further changes. I went to F10 and saved and exited and I now have me USB capability back.
