Generally adjustment would not be required. When first lit the flame would be at maximum power but reduce as the oven heats up and the thermostat takes control.

Your description indicates the thermostat is not taking control - perhaps it wasn't installed correctly or it simply isn't working.

Testimonial: "The orpheus was turned upside down so the oven was burning for natural gas instead of LP gas flame. thank you for your help."

The pilot adjustment screw is located on the back side of the oven temperature thermostat. Lift the cook top to access it. Use a flat screwdriver to adjust... counter clockwise= bigger flame.

SOURCE: oven produces soot when running, broiler ok, stove top ok

Al, you need to seat the needle valve on the bake. Remove the bottom drawer, right below the bake burner you will see the nut just below the air shutter adjustment. Turn this nut clockwise a few times, it might seem hard but just do it. Then try the bake again, you should have a nice bluel flame. Tenbears.

SOURCE: Garland stove oven pilot light does not stay lit

If there is any adjustment, it would be a small screw on the oven control accessible with the oven control knob removed. This adjustment affects the size of the top burner pilots, but I'm not sure about the oven. The oven pilot orifice may have an obstruction, or if the flame is actually normal size where it covers the thermocouple when it burns, you may have a thermocouple problem.

Low flame on GE gas stove burners

It might be from the burners being dirty or from the electrode not being properly sealed.Or the burner head and the caps are not correctly have been matched up.

Whirlpool WFG510S0AS2 range - stove burners work just fine, but both the oven and broiler does not stay lit. NOTE - this unit has been converted from natural gas to LP

when the lp conversion is done , it is normally just a jet size change that is done
however the air shroud has to also be adjusted to get a clean blue burn of the flame
The just jet change results in a slightly yellow flame which is incomplete burn of the gas and that creates carbon build up at the jet and burners causing partial blockage
I would suggest that you call in an accredited gas fitter to check the problem and if necessary , clean the jets and adjust the air shroud

Indesit oven keeps heating

Tappan gas range, TGF334BCWB. I can NOT stop the broiler burner from lighting. I have unplugged the 110 power and I light top burner with a striker. However when stove is plugged in to the power the broiler burner lights and continues to burn. The oven knob is turned OFF. The only way to stop the broiler is to unplug the power.

Lighting my pilot

If this is old enough to have an actual gas pilot it will have a thing called a thermocouple. The pilot flame burns around this thermocouple to keep it hot. The thermocouple must be hot from being in the burning gas or it will turn the gas off to the pilot. Yeah, it's kind of a viscious circle isn't it? This is where a propane torch comes in handy, but you might do this with one of those butane matches with the long neck. Apply a flame to the thermocouple for 30 seconds or so. When the thermocouple gets hot enough the pilot will self-sustain. Be sure it is the thermocouple it is you are heating up. It is at the end of a rather thin, what looks like a wire but is actually a wire inside of a thin tube. (still looks like a wire). Might be described as looking like a hot dog on a stick in miniature form. the hot dog part being about 1/8 inch by 1 inch. and is in a bracket.
