This appears to be a shredder rather than a Car and Trucks issue. I have moved you to the correct category and edited your question for clarity.
Remove the head and vacuum all the dust and paper bits, top and bottom. There is a sensor in there that is looking for a sheet of paper. When you turn it on, it thinks it has found it. While you are at it, oil the blades.
unless that shredder is heavy duty office and very expensive , it will be cheaper and easier to junk it and get a new one
mostly parts are non existent for shredders
Check to see if there's a little piece that broke off from the door. This would be the "safety interlock switch" or little thingy that pushes down the basket sensor. The basket sensor is located on the bottom front of the shredder. I bent a paper clip to hold down the metal switch (basket sensor) and taped it to the front of the shredder with scotch tape.
You can clean the sensor with a alcohol and be sure there is no jam occur. If it doing fine then it's work and there's no more problem. Always clean it, a jam can cause motor to heat up and it's winding will be burnt. I hope my advice help you.
Sadly, light duty machines as yours do overheat and shut off. Shredders are rated for run time. An example: 4 min run time with 60 min off to cool down. I could not find your machine's rating. However, given the 10 page volume I would guess the rating close to the 4 min on. High volume shredders are rated as continuous run. They should never over heat.
