Question about Zanussi Dishwashers

Open Question

I have a Zanussi ZDT 6252 built in dishwasher.

My problem is that during the normal (60 degrees) and intensive (70 degrees) cycle the dishwasher trips the fuse box after 15 min. When I put the Bio (50 degrees) or quick (50 degrees) the cycle completes. Any suggestion why?? Thanks in Advance

I had the same problem with Zanussi ZDT 6252. To fix it, turn power on, close door fully, then open door, turn off then turn back on again. If you follow this sequence the machine is reset and you can select programs again.

SOURCE: just moved in and run the dishwasher

Replace the timer.

Most likely it was broken by someone resetting the timer by hand while the unit was energized.

Always open the door(de-energizes the timer) when you want to make an adjustment to the machine while it's running.

Zanussi zdt 6053 usually will not run full cycle (on any cycle) but stops with constant error beeps. But it is draining ok and sometimes goes full cycle (not often) Any ideas?

Could be anything!
If you suspect that there is a fault then it will be displayed by blinking LED "END OF CYCLE". As the display of failure in hexadecimal code it can flash up to max. 15 times than short pause and after that repeat fault code. You must to count the number of times the LED "END OF CYCLE" flash up.

Example from user manual: Anti-flood device is activated.
- continuous flashing of the indicator light of the running programme
- 3 intermittent audible signals
- 3 flashes of the END OF CYCLE indicator light
(which means "i30" fault code, the cycle is interrupted and the
drain pump switches on).
Possible causes:
Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections
(pump, upper spray arm duct etc.); floating sensor blocked
mechanically; microswitch faulty; fill solenoid blocked
mechanically; circuit board faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited);
wiring faulty.
26226179-aipk5px1bmfkdpsmrgevaqwn-3-1.jpg Could be also:
To cancel a washing programme in progress:
- Open the dishwasher's door.
- Press the programme selection/cancel button for about 3 seconds,
until the indicator light of the running programme turns off and the
END OF CYCLE indicator light flashes, indicating that the running
programme has been cancelled and that the machine has
returned to setting mode. It is now possible to select another
washing programme. If a new washing programme will be
selected, check that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser.

NOTE: only during the drying phase, if the dishwasher's door will be opened and remains open for more then 30 seconds, the running programme will be automatically cancelled and the machine will return to setting mode. This will happen, always only during the drying phase, also when the machine is switched off by pressing the
On/Off button and remains switched off for more then 30 seconds.

My zanussi ZDT 6252 has rinse and hold and intensive lights flashing and is humming

Have you proper water pressure or is the water tap turned on or kinked? If so - fix it and try again.

Zanussi ZDT 6252 dishwasher will not work

Almost certainly the control board has gone faulty. The favorite is the transformer burns or the thyristor gets very hot and burns due to a bad solder joint. Quickest no noncense repair is to bite the bullet and install a new board.

Some 1 gave my daughter a slimline zanussi dishwasher not sure what model it is but looks quite old. need a manual as the program numbers have faded and cant see them regards chris oh and its a aqua save...

Hello,
If the model is correct then even without a manual the control set up is as follows.
From Lhs you will see on/off/ button next are the 2 lights top one is on/off and the bottom is for salt low light. The next button to the right is rinse and hold next Intensive 70 Degrees, next Normal 65,next Bio 50, next Quick wash 50 Degrees. To cancel a wash programme open the door and press the button for the prog. underway for more than 1 second until the corresponding light goes out.
The dishwasher is now reset and you can select a new programme. You can try this site for a manual.

Hope this helps.

Zanussi ZDT 6244 Dishwasher , wash cycle completes , all water drains out , but the dishes are not brilliant clean & dishes are still wet

Try cleaning all the jet orifices in the rotating vanes. Use tooth brush. Check for dish plate is touching the rotating arm in the wash chamber. Rotate by hand for freeness.

Changing heating element.

You normally access the element from the side , Be careful of sharp edges . meter it before you start spending money it could be a timer fault also !
