Your best bet is to read the manual. Here is a link to it on Roland's web site MICRO BR Manuals Support Roland

When I plug the damper pedal into my Roland ep 77 the damper comes on and stays on no matter if the pedal is pressed or not pressed.

Try plugging in the pedal with the Roland powered down or off. With the pedal plugged in, turn the Roland on again. The Roland should sense the polarity upon power up. If this doesn't work, I have had those pedals get defective right out of the box, so try this...Get a ¼ inch guitar or signal cable and plug that into the damper jack. The cable will represent an open circuit polarity since nothing is shorting out the leads. See if the EP77 is sustaining or if it is not. Alternately, try shorting the guitar cable by laying a piece of metal across the top and bottom of the jack. A pocket or kitchen knife or any bare wire will do. If this does not work, your assumption about the power supply may be correct.

I think your best option is to try downloading and installing the latest system update from the Roland Site link below.

My spd20 pad skin is damaged so i want get a new skin ???

Hi.

You need to order the pads skins directly from Roland.

The local Roland number is written in user manual.

Here the service locator in US. If you are based in the USA you can also order the skins from your local authorized Roland Service point.
Here Roland US support contact.

The sustain pedal is permanently on!

You MAY be trying to use a Roland pedal on an instrument that requires a different one.

The Roland have a normally closed contact where MOST others are normally open.

If you are using Roland equipment, then use of another brand OR a broken cable will cause this as will a shorted cable with other brands.

It looks like you MIGHT have a Technics given that number you posted. Not sure of which polarity pedal you require with that, So you need to test it.

Plug in a regular instrument cable and see if it sustains with nothing at other end. If it does, you need a normally closed one.

Shelly, I have a 2480 but it must be very similar. Import the drum track as a wav file into two of your tracks within the same project. You must make sure the file is a WAV file and nothing else.

Hope it works, on the 2400, I am sure it must since it is a must have.
