SOURCE: the message center shows incorrect outdoor

I would suspect that the connection to the outside temperature sensor is not good or the sensor itself is bad. Check the connection and clean and reattach as necessary. Otherwise replace the sensor. I think they're pretty reasonably priced.

The outside air temperature sensor for a 2000 Windstar is located under the front bumber on the passengers side. It is clearly visible if you lay down and look through the lower two air openings in the plastic bumper. It is the only electrical device in that area and it is made of black plastic.

In essence, you need to re handshake the units. There is a seek button on one or both that institues the process.

SOURCE: I have an Acurite weather station, model 02080, and when I place the lightning sensor outdoors as it states in setup, outdoor temp is indicated. How do I set it up to work properly?

The display has the internal sensor for temp and barometer, The 5 in one has the sensor for outdoors and shows temp, wind speed and direction, humidity and rain. With the added lightning detector having the additional temp sensor in it, the system is redundant. It is recommended to put the sensor outside for best results that t have the least interference and maximum range..

My acurite 00509 has stopped giving me the correct temp reading. I've put another temp gauge next to it and acurite shows 78* and my othergauge shows 72*. Do I need to return it or what ? Thanks

The indoor temperature and humidity and outdoor temperature readings can be calibrated on the display to improve accuracy. Calibration can improve accuracy when sensor placement or environmental factors impact your data accuracy. 1. To access calibration mode, press AND HOLD the "?", "?", and "SET" buttons for at least 5 seconds. 2. Once in calibration mode, the preference you are currently setting will be highlighted on the display. 3. Press the "?" or "?" buttons to calibrate the data value higher or lower from the actual reading. 4. Press the "SET" button to confirm the calibration adjustment. The " " icon will remain illuminated next to calibrated values. 5. The next adjustable data will begin flashing, indicating it is ready to be calibrated. Repeat Steps 1 - 4 to calibrate additional data. The preference set order is as follows: OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE INDOOR TEMPERATURE INDOOR HUMIDITY BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (must be set to MANUAL mode; see page 12) After 20 seconds of inactivity, the display will save the adjustments and exit calibration mode. Note: Calibrations will be erased if the display is reset or if batteries are removed and the power adapter is unplugged.

New owner of AcuRite Model 75075. Outdoor temp (just now installed) is reading 7 degrees higher than actual tempperature. How lond does it take for the indoor & outdoor unit to get in Synch?

Typically the Sensors Sync-Up within 10 to 20 Minutes. However, placement of the Outdoor Sensor is also important. The National Weather Service (NWS) and NOAA measure the Temperature in the Shade, and NOT in the Sun. So be sure that your "Exterior Sensor" is placed in the Shade, under an overhang for example. However, be careful not to place the sensor under an overhang, where there may be a soffit-vent or gable-vent, that is used to vent out warm air from the attic. Even a three (3) season, unheated porch can be warmer than the actual external temperature, due to passive/solar heat captured thru the windows (East/South/West).

Acurite weather forcaster not showing outside temp

Here's the manual for the AcuRite Weather Forecaster. If it's not showing the outside temperature, make sure the A-B-C switch is set to match the display unit. Not doing so might be the reason it's not synchronizing and displaying the outdoor temperature. https://www.acurite.com/media/manuals/75077-75107-instructions.pdf

I have an Acurite 822-RX thermometer that shows HH as the outdoor temp, even after replacing the batteries in both the base and remote units. How can it be fixed or reset?

HH means it is showing the high temperature you (most likely accidentally) set with the MAX MIN / + button, which is easy to do when setting the clock. Just press that button again until the reading appears.

I put new batteries into both units, the indoor unit and outdoor unit, now it is not able to read the outdoor temperature. What needs to be done?

Sometimes the RF frequency from the outside transmitter loses contact with the clock's frequency ( it has happened to me only twice in 6 years ), and then the outside temp will not show. Simple solution to fix this is: Take down the outside transmitter and the internally mounted clock. Remove batteries from both. Wait about 10 mts. First install batteries in the transmitter, then after about 30 seconds, install batteries in the clock. In about 5 mts, you will find the clock showing the external temp like before.
