SOURCE: I have problem in my garage door. I have manual

Does this opener have intellicode opn it? if so it can teach itself the code. What excactly are you wanting, are you needing to find out what the code is on the opener to program the remote? Is your opener a Genie model also? I also need the model of the remote to find the coding info on this.
This is from Genie themselfs. ( Remotes manufactured after 1996 should work with your Intellicode® opener. Pre-1996 remotes use fixed-code sequencing and are not supported by Genie® Intellicode® technology. If you are unsure about when your controller was manufactured, contact us, your local Genie® retailer or your local Genie® ProTM dealer.)

SOURCE: I have a genie pro max PMX 300 IC/A garage door opener and bought a Genie 3-button remote (model G3T-R) and I can't get it programmed. I push the button on the back of the opener, push the button

Take the opener apart and see if there are about 4 numbers that can be set. If you have an older remote take it apart and match the numbers, then program it.

Why can I only program one (single button) remote on my Genie Model CM8600IC?

Hi,

Please double check with Genie whether what you're experiencing is a bug or a feature for that particular garage opener that you're using. The manual should have the company's phone number. But if not, please visit their website in order to find this information. Thank you.

Genie pro screw drive 1/2 hp model cm8600ic/a -- 10 years old- always operated correctly til now:

Dear Erik,
Although I do not sell or service garage door openers as a profession, I will be glad to tell you you only need to adjust the door, and is should be fine.
There are adjustments on the motor, to tell when the door is the right distance up and the right distance down, and the chain must be adjusted correctly, and the rollers need lubricating oil, and the slotted tracks need grease.
With all these done, you will be good to go.
Most doors need this service every 3 - 4 years, with normal use.
I cannot tell you specifically how to do this, because each door is different, but you might get really good pictured help on "youtube".
God bless your efforts.

Learn button on genie pro max garage opener is not working . How can I programm new remote?

if the learn button is truly bad you have two options either replace the circuit board or buy an external receiver. It was me a would replace the opener with a Chamberlain/Craftsman or Liftmaster belt drive opener. The new genies aren't worth a damn. I've replaced about a dozen that were a year or less old because of defects this year.

Can I use tje existing screw/rail of the 1/2HP Genie CM86001C and replace the old head with the new PowerMax 1500 head or does the new PowerMax 1500 require a new screw/rail?

No rail wont fit quite right. I would consider a liftmaster/craftsman/chaimberlain with yellow antenna wire. The liftmaster models are 8355 or 8550. Not sure how those model #'s translate to the craftsmans and chaimberlains. These units use 3 frequencies which are chosen automatically by opener radio. This gives you the best option to avoid interference. Genie typalically uses 2, but their fixed, so its a crapshoot to avoid interference. Do not confuse these frequencies with the rolling code feature which is a static frequency with only the "channels" changing.

How to set acsctg type 2

There is a button on the motor head you can press. Press it then press the button on the remote 3 times and try it. If not try it again. Genies are bad for not coding in the first time. Make sure there are new batteries in it. Thanks BB
