Thetford makes good pumps. No pumps last forever, actually only 4 to 5 years of constant use because the pump sucks air at first startup before pumping fluid. Air ruins the pump. The pump also collects sand (small tiny particles) which act like sandpaper and ruins the shaft, and impeller, etc. It's cheaper to buy another pump than to fix it, because more importantly you won't find parts to fix pumps. whether RV pumps, or Fountain pumps - the reason is the pumps require to be sealed - factory seal. So no one will carry parts.
you're going to have to get to the pump somehow - cut a hole in the drywall or floor under it if possible... sounds like something is blocking the pump (for the jets)... Ck
hi the water from the flush holding tank is not getting through to the pump on my c402 thetford toilet . i have tried putting water in from the glass indicator tube and the the flush works . anyone got any idea what the problem might be thanks
Go to www.thetford.com.
Click Customer Support then Product manuals and download manual in PDF format. Wiring of C2 has fuse, safety switch, flush switch and flush pump in series. If fuse is blown you probably need to replace pump. Instructions come with replacement pump.
