Five times blinks to Sony Bravia is related with an IRK error. It is related to its main digital board. In most cases, the main board might need replacement. It sounds like an Intergrated Circuit (IC) has fried. Even on a good day, this is not something you can attack at home. As a tech (and as an owner of that model samsung), I'd need a map & tools to know what's going on. Your best bet in this situation is to contact Samsung and let them recommend an authorized service center in your area. Sorry I can't be of more help, but this is a rather serious problem.

What you are seeing is an error code. Sounds like you may have a high voltage problem. My advice to you is to find an AUTHORIZED Sony repair center and let them fix it. Sony is a very unique product and I would not recommend you try to repair it yourself or let anyone (except an authorized Sony repair center) even attemp repair.

i dont know the error code but my standby red light is blinking 8 times

six flashes corresponds to "Horizontal deflection stop". In turn the "supposed malfunction" is then either Q5013 (H OUT) is broken and/or IC507 (H Jungle) is broken.

Q510, 516, 524 (A board).

There are actually three C boards, the CR, CG and CB boards. They are attached to the rear of the red, green and blue CRTs, respectively. I wouldnt attempt to repair the set myself. I would solicite the services of an authorized Sony servicenter.

Sony received reports of flickering on select rear projection TV models and immediately started an investigation. Sony's engineering team found that in a small percentage of sets (less than 1%) made with impregnated cathode CRTs, the material used to impregnate the cathode may attach itself to another section of the electron gun and cause a mild brightness fluctuation or change in hue.
