Question about The Computers & Internet
reseting the router does not fix firware issues it is a problem with the firmware itself. If it got intoerrupted then you could run into this error and you need to reinstall the firmware. I have a dlink router and they seem to have a problem with some of the firmware distros they deliver. One thing that you can try to do is revert back to an older version that they have if reinstalling the firmware didnt work. If this then does not work then you need to contact dlink.

in order to upgrade the firmware please follow the steps:
1. Click the link (http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/)
2. Enter the model number of the router and hit enter.
3.Click Download Tab
4.Now enter the hardware version of the router (which you can find by turning the router upside down)
5.Now you can download the firmware which is a .bin file and save it to the desktop.
6.Open the router page and click Administration and click Firmware upgrade.
7.Select the file from the desktop by clicking Browse and start upgrade.
8.Turn off the router for 30 seconds after upgradation and turn it on..
i hope this will resolve the issue.
