I have a Bushnell Bowhunter Chuck Adams Edition that will only show me a flashing Y or a flashing M. we have put new batteries in it. How do we get it to show the distense's

The battery's shot. It'll flash on for a split sec and then drains dead again. Lithiums and rechargeables do that. Replace it.

sounds like its asking you if you want distance in yards or in meters.

I've dried out meters, etc. before by putting the tiem in a bag of uncooked rice overnight.

Taken word for word from the manual: While looking through the eyepiece, press and hold the POWER button down for approx. 5 seconds. During this time all liquid crystal segments and icons will be displayed. As you continue to depress(hold down) the power button, the display will toggle back and forth between Yards and Meters. Once the unit of measure desired is displayed, simply release the power button. The device will return to the last unit of measure setting used each time the unit is turned on.

I went to another website and read the reviews of other owners of Bushnell products, this is a common problem from Bushnell products. The fix is to buy another or try to get them to replace it, they should recall everyone of them and give refunds or new rangefinders. I found all this out for free, thank you very much!!!

The rangefinder is out of alignment. Vibration, dropping these units make small mirrors inside move slightly. Over time the receiver cannot see what the transmitter puts out. Bushnell can fix, 4-5 weeks w/o unit.

If it is less than two years old, its still under warranty. Mail in a copy of your receipt and they will repair or replace it....
