Handset set says power up bs .phone model bt 1700

Turn the phone off.
Unplug the base from the outlet.
Plug back in then turn on the phone.

The phones base station must be defective and is sending no signal to the handset.

Have you set it to silent by accident ? Check ringer volume and also check you've set a ring tune too.

Probaly cheaper to replace phones

1. Check the manual of your new handset on how to set it to registration mode.

Then on your BT Studio Base

2. Press and hold the base (page) button for at least 10 seconds until you hear the validation tone. then release. That's it.

for this model, you can only use up to 2 handsets.

I need the owners manual to reset the handset. I have know dial tone and it is stuck on BS Search.

On your handset go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "CANCEL BS"
This will discard the registration of the handset to any base.

Then go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "REGISTER HS"and select the base you want (i.e. BASE 1, BASE 2, ..., BASE n).

After you finish all the above, hold down the "PAGE" button for about 5 secs.

You are now done!!!
