SOURCE: have a casio px 320 and trying to use it in

use the audio output to send the keyboards internal patch sounds, or use a usb midi adapter to use the keyboard to trigger the garageband midi sounds, if the keyboard has a midi output, that is. the usb output requires software drivers to use, and IS NOT mac compatible. You may have to select a midi source in garage band preferences or settings if you are using midi.

I have purchased a BT-144 USB External Floppy Disc Drive. I have some old floppy discs which I want to put onto my Mac. I cannot find a suitable driver for my mac. Any suggestions

Most external devices like those are plug and play (Plug n Pray) and if it is not working it is because:
A the Mac is new and will not recognize "legacy" tech.
B To my knowledge there is no drivers for those but it should work on PC's.. even then you may have to use a DOS shell to get it to copy/transfer properly
see if there is an available Mac "DOS" emulator.. this may work but it may not... If you are trying to transfer native mac programs then even PC may not "see" what is on the disk.. so If you go a PC rout you may have to use a "MAC" emulator to see the data.. hopes this helps.

The audio icon is gone from the menu bar and i cannot click it gray to add it

You don't say what version of OS X you are running but I can give you one place to look based on El Capitan: If you click on System Preferences under the Apple Menu, choose Sound and make sure the Output tab is highlighted, there should be a check box at the bottom that says "Show volume in menu bar". My guess is that, somehow, that box is no longer checked. If checked, the speaker icon should be in the menu bar.

If you are using an earlier version of OS X, the details may differ somewhat but this should give you a starting point.

Down loaded El Capitan on my I Mac.I cannot find it to open.

OSX updates are downloaded and shown in the AppStore on your Mac. If you go to the App Store and select the updates tab at the bottom, you should see El Capitan as an update there. All you need to do is hit install if you have downloaded already.

Hope that helps,
Josh

Re: Casio WK-210. Audacity, Jet Audio and Ctrl Pnl allow me to choose a USB PnP "record from" option, however, no sound is being recorded from the Casio to the PC. What am I doing wrong. Many...

Pat, the USB output on the Casio WK-210 is only capable of sending and receiving MIDI information. It's not sending any digital or analog audio. Audacity is primarily for sound file editing.

In order to use the keyboard to record onto your computer you can connect an audio cable from the 1/8" stereo mini-jack to an input on your computer. Then you can record into Audacity.

Or you can acquire MIDI recording software (ie. Logic, Cubase) and then using the USB output on the keyboard, you can control and record multiple MIDI instruments in those programs.

How can i connect my ctk-720 to my mac & the garage band application.

Just did it today. Hooked up CTK-720 to Imac with Snow Leopard (10.2.6) using GarageBand.
Steps: 1) Go to : http://code.google.com/p/casiousbmididriver/ 2) Download the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.plugin (see the two choices on the right side of screen) 3) Place the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.Plugin file into the MIDI Driver subfolder: Macintosh HD => Library => Audio => MIDI Drivers 4) Restart 5) Plug in USB cable, open GarageBand, turn on Casio 6) In GraarageBand Open New Project, Start by using Piano, Select Keyboard (command K) in the Window menu 7) You should see the keyboard being played on the screen.
PS: Thank you Francois Ferland.

Converter of audio cassettes to CDs

Get a computer with an audio input or soundcard. Like a Mac with garageband and a soundcard. connect both with a male 1/8" to male 1/8" cable. Press play on the tape deck, record on the computer. Once done, edit and trim the beginning and end. Import to itunes. Create a playlist. Burn to cd. Simple.
