SOURCE: refilling a dunhill lighter
All rechargeable lighters have a refilling nozzle (usually at the bottom of lighter).
All the good quality gas refill cans have the nozzle adapters inside sovering cup.
Brake off the nozzle adapters off the cup and try to fit them onto lighters refilling nozzle.
When found the best fit adapter, put it onto gas refill cans nozzle and holding the lighter and can upside down connect all nozzles together and push together.
As these nozzles are made for mass production lighters, tey do not fit perfect and some gas leak will occure.
Anyway- few seconds will be enough to refill any lighter.
In case if your lighter do not refill by explained action, the refill nozzle in your lighter is damaged or faulty.
Hope it does help.

Hi.
To do things properly you should locate the nearest Cartier boutique, and send them the watch for repair. Here the Cartier Worldwide service locator page.
An alternative solution is locating a band distributor, or a generic service center, and purchasing a band from a third party. This is a cheaper solution, but it is not the best choice. Repairing or replacing the band at an unauthorized service may bring down the value of your Cartier. If you want to proceed in this way, please let me know your location.
I suggest using the link above, and contacting the nearest authorized service center.
Regards.
Ginko.

Good Day Zulu!
I would not advise you to remove the lighter from the casing cause it will lower its current worth.
You might want to consider the information below, cause this might be the exact model that you have.
This Cartier lighter from the 1980s is dressed with a SOLID 18k
YELLOW GOLD layer, that was applied to the original oval shape and body
of the lighter by an Independent ARTISAN JEWELER It features a somewhat
Oriental or Middle Eastern motif The lighter is also decorated with
wonderful BLUE ENAMEL on the 4 sides It appears as though the enamel
comes in different Shades of Blue. This One-OF-A-KIND piece was
definitely HAND-CARVED by an artisan It is a UNIQUE and RARE example of
Italian Workmanship on SPECIAL ORDER pieces The lighter itself is signed
"Cartier, PLAQUE OR G" and has a serial number The exterior
gold layer is stamped "750" in two separate areas that I can
see The lighter is in EXCELLENT CONDITION given its presumed age It is
also in Great Working Condition Measures: 2 13/16" Long - 1"
Large - 1/4"Thick Weighs: 3.74 oz. - 106 grams Comes in its black
Jeweler Gift Box
Believe me! This lighter was sold for $4,800

To look up the steel ligter serial number is very easy ,I specialize in buying and selling Cartier watches. I've seen fakes with all the correct marks and a serial number, but that doesn't mean they are legitimate. If the watch was registered by Cartier when it was sold or if it has been sent in to Cartier for service Cartier will be able to verify it is authentic, but be aware that if the watch was not originally sold in North America or was not registered when sold (fairly common) it can still be authentic. Some sellers offer the Cartier quartz model for sale and only state that the watch has a quartz movement, but fail to mention if it has a Cartier quartz movement. If it has a replacement movement in it the watch is technically authentic, but not original and is not worth as much as one with an original or a genuine Cartier replacement movement. The biggest mistake I've seen amateur Cartier buyers make is using the Cartier micro-script signature on the Roman numeral to verify authenticity. Indeed this is a good indicator, but not the best indicator as there were many Cartier watches produced prior to the technology required to make the micro-script possible and not all Cartier watches have Roman numerals for the dial to have the micro-script signature. Furthermore, the micro-script is not always located at the same place and if the dial has been refinished it may not appear at all. Another common problem is actually caused by language differences, i.e. "all original versus "authentic". A watch can be authentic without being all original. Unless someone has owned the watch since it was new and it has never left their sight it is impossible for them to state the watch is "all original" as a part could have been replaced at some point in time -- even without their knowledge. Your best bet is to buy from a reputable seller even if you have to pay slightly more money. -- Cartier_Specialist
