The grey first thing I suggest that you do is go to settings, sounds and make sure all the volumes are all the way up.

If the volumes for ringer, messages and alarms are all the way up, and no sounds comes from the main speakers, then it's probably a hardware issue, meaning that you might need to change the speaker.

What do you mean Speaker or Ringer ? For speaker you just follow the link 5310 speaker ways. And for Ringer check all the components (blue color colis and resistor) if all this components are OK then the last solution is to change the sound IC.Thanks for visiting fixya

Have you set it on Silent profile?
Press the power key once and select Normal profile. The phone will ring and vibrate in this profile.

• If your cell phone is in warranty then just go any Nokia outlet or shop from where u purchased it and sent it for repairing in warranty it 'll be free of cost.
• if u don't have warranty then just change your ringer of the cell and if u don't know about it then just consult a known person who know about hardware of mobile and give your cell to him and say that just change its ringer, Ringer is not expensive its usually cheep

Is the volume all the way up.

You can select the ringer and vibration option, so you would not miss your calls, or you can try using other ringtones which have a higher tone.
