Either the inlet valve is faulty or the pressure switch is not controlling the water level. If the machine is still filling with the power off, it will definitely be the fault. If its intermittent, it could be the pressure switch. There is a remote possibility that the electronic controller has failed.

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

Sounds like a cold water problem. Try running washer set for cold water only. See if it stays running. Most rinses are cold water. If you have low water pressure it can stop due to protection circuit that allows washer to fill for only so many minutes. If it isn't full at end of time span, it may shut down. Try checking inlet valve screens for restriction. Turn off water and remove hoses from back and look into place where you removed hoses. You should see a screen in each one. Scrape out build up with a small screwdriver. Flush out with water.
DO-NOT remove screens to clean. If any debris gets into valve it can cause valve to remain open, flooding house.
