SOURCE: manual for overlocker

Looks a lot like my Juki MO-104. To thread this thing remember this sequence.

Upper Looper, Lower Looper, then needle(s)

Open the front panel to get to your lower loopers and I think there should be a threading diagram inside on the door. Then always have test fabric that matches your project fabric. Sew a 3 " seam, check the seam.... adjust tension. If you want to get really good at seeing what's what in tension is doing thread each thread with a different color. To do your test stitches.

I've not found a manual that doesn't cost.

Testimonial: "Thankyou for your help, bought the manual from bernina in the end."

SOURCE: where can I get a manual for bernette fun lock 006D

Serger manuals for early machines are really basic.

Thread in order.

upper looper, lower looper, right needle, left needle. (see the inside of the looper cover door.)

Adjust tensions to suit the fabric you are sewing.

If you need to change colors clip threads near the spools and tie on new spools to previous threads and draw threads through an already threaded machine.

Bernina is the brand. But I believe early models of the serger were made by Juki. I've looked for the manual for 006 as well and found thinging. Your only other choice is find someone who has one for sale and ask for a scanned copy.... or order a new one from Bernina or one of the other places that has one.

You can obtain the manual on line free at: http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/bernina/730.html?p=1
It may be useful in the future for other things once you get stitching. Enjoy.

Feed teeth have dropped down

Hi. Benieth the free arm there is a lever that you can switch from left to right. This raises and lowers the feeddogs for normal sewing and darning. Possibly you need to flip that switch lever. If that doesn't solve it then the freearm cover on the bottom needs to be removed and the feeddog mechanism cleaned and oiled. Could be stuck.
Good luck. Hope its the easy fix.
