Your machine does a longer green flash and then a series of orange flashes and then green again. I need to know how many orange flashes between the greens to tell you the problem..

when the yellow led flashes is never a good signal... you should check the manual's printer to find out the error code meaning "4 yellow flashes and 1 green) Usally it's the waste tank that is full, in this case you need to:
Push “resume” for 5 seconds for canon IPXXXX.
Push Power switch then remove power cord.
Insert plug power cord while pressing “power switch” at the same time.
Push Start/reset by step 2 continue Wait display shown “0′
Push + change display from “0′ to “1′
Push color button 2 times
Push Power switch again , Printer will print 1 page

I solve mine (4 Yellow Flash + 1 Green) by pushing on the white gear, located at the end right inside, where the cartridges are cleaning. This help the movement of the gear, it was stuck or gem. Do this when you just turning on the printer, then you ear the cycle noise, Your fingers will sense the movement of the gear. Tips: Push the cartridges block to the left to let you enough space to put your hand inside.Now it work normally.
This solution sounded to strange to be real but I was desperate for a solution to the orange light blinking 7 times and getting NO response from the printer whatsoever. It actually worked!
Turn off printer
Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
