You can remove or change the Window's User or
administrator's password and privileges. You need access to a computer with
Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD.
Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up

Make sure you are using HP ink cartridges or you could effect you print head. The ink cartridges have smart chips in the. Make sure your firmware is up to date. Try another ink cartridge too, only after you update your firmware. You can get updates off HP website. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html outdated firmware can kill the smart chip in your ink cartridge. Installing another ink cartrige before updating your firmware will kill the smart chip in that ink cartridge the same. Try taking your ink cartridge out and wait a minute and reinstall it as well. You must update your firmware using the USB cable only not through wireless. Let me know if this helps. I had this same thing happen to me. I had to simply update my firmware. Good luck.
It sounds like there is an issue of synchronization between the monitor and KVM. This will force the monitor into a lower resolution to sync them. You may want to check with Belkin to see if there is a firmware update for the KVM. There may also be a driver issue with one(all) of the video cards on the system. I recommend updating the drivers on all affected machines with the monitor connected directly to the individual machines. Rather than using generic drivers, I would use the drivers downloaded from the manufacturer of video cards and from Viewsonic for the monitor.
If you have the origional CD that came with the monitor, use that to re-install the drivers for the monitor back onto the pc. Then go to viewsonic and look for updates. Do a "system restore" and put the system back to the condition prior to doing all of this. I will re store your files to what they were but "system restore" will not roll back "windows updates". This will tell you if it is something you did or windows did.
