You say your belt is a little loose. When the motor starts to spin the belt may become more loose, causing the belt to not spin the pump at full capacity. I would suggest you change the belt. I think you will find your problem. Good Luck Friend.

SOURCE: LTF2140E Front loader washer

My Frigidaire front loader washer model LTF2140E doesnt want to drain the water when set to wash (heavy-normal-quick selectors). It washes put thats it. I have to switch the selector to drain/spin then rinse/spin cycle to finish the load. I checked the drain hose for any clogs....everything is clear. Any suggestions? Also,iIs2.gif their any reset buttons for this type of washer?

SOURCE: Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer Model MAH4000AWW low last spin

two problems here,
your shaft seal is running on its last leg
the sound is unmistakeable and always described the same...
the water issue, you probably have a trickle leak through the cold water valve
the mixing valve is quite an easy repair, but I would have to say with all honesty, it probably time for a new machine
the hub seal is a tub replacment call
2 hrs of labor if hes good
and the tub runs around 500.00 dollars
sory for the bad news

Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW burn smell (doesn't appear to be hose)

if you have a maytag neptune washer that ran up until now you got your money's worth, that's the machine that put maytag out of business,if it's smoking and ripping the boot it sounds like the tub bearing is gone and you'll have to replace the washer,if it's load in the spin like marbles are rolling around in it that's the problem, but i wouldn't put a cent into that machine.

Very loud spin cycle

The link below, courtesy of www.repairclinic.com, shows that the rear bearing comes with the outer tub only and is very pricey! I have been unable to find a service agency that offers just the bearing. Very aggravating. www.maytag.com would be a good place to define your issue.

Tub fills with water

replace water valve in the washer. Serial number is needed to find the correct part number. It's likely 22003834, but call any parts supplier with model/serial numbers to verify.

Good luck,

MAYTAG NEPTUNE FRONT LOAD WASHER MAH5500BWW

Central bearing and seal are damaged. Very expensive repair and very expensive parts. Maytag does not sell bearings separately, they're only available with the outer tub, which is $400-$500; Repair itself is another 2-3 hours of hard work. Do the math...
