Cannot format

try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

How do you delete photos from Sansa e200 MP3 Player?

If you go into Windows Media Player, you have to change the Library option from Music to Photos and THEN go into the Sync tab - should now display photos instead of music.

Alternatively, you can double-click My Computer, double-click the icon of the Sansa, and find the images or picture folder - you may have to change your usb mode to msc in order to view this folder (don't forget to change it back later, or not all of your files will show up when you want them to). ONLY delete image files - if you delete system files, your mp3 player will become unusable.

Or, you can follow the method reccomended by your manual - the full user's manual is available from Sanidsk's website:
Delete Photos and Video
The photos are stored in 2 locations on your Sansa…My Album and
Thumbnails. The instructions below for deleting photos and video from your
player were created using Windows XP with Windows Media Player 11.
To delete photos from your Sansa, please execute the following steps:
1) Connect your Sansa e200 to your computer
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection
3) Click the drive containing your photos
4) Click on the photo folder.
5) Highlight and delete the photos stored in My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\Photo\My Album and My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\Photo\thumbnail\My Album.

This will help.Good Luck.

if you are deleted the song using computer interface before, it is still on hidden file. plugin your device to computer and go to your sansa directory,
unhide all hidden file and delete it if you are using windows, but for mac pc, just go to the finder then ampty the trash.

PLEASE HELP I CAN"T LIVE WITH OUT MY SANSA

"Please free 6MB for music DB" means that there is not enough MEMORY for the MUSIC DataBase. Therefore, you cannot see the music on your device.

To resolve this, you need to delete music until your device is less than 6MB of being full.

Generally 10 to 15 songs should do the trick.

Use rhapsody for the trial period and now My SanDisk Sansa e200 won't acknowledge any downloads on my e200 since I didn't sign up for rhapsody. How can I get my e200 to allow download from somewhere other...

If you didnt delete the music from your trial subscription with Rhapsody, they are still on the device, taking up space. Your device will allow any type of music to be transferred, it doesnt have to be specifically from Rhapsody. Best idea is to "format" the device to remove everything and try transferring the music onto the device. Connect the device and go to My Computer>Device Name, then right click on the device and select format. This will erase everything. If you are not able to format the device, change the mode, then try again. Device>Settings>mode or USB Mode. Reply if you have more problems. Best of Luck.
