I was able to get to the Unit today and it did have the LAL alarm with a -4 also cycled to ein 32 which I haven't found the meaning of yet. I have checked the Parameter settings for this unit and have only found one that was different which was Ods - Outputs delay at start up, which was set to 3 instead of 0. I did not change this. On the dP1 Room probe display, it was set on the current interior temperature which was 44, the Evaporator probe display was 31 (and this is when I noticed that the evaporator fan was not running, but was trying to jump start about every 7 seconds, a bad run winding I'm suspecting on a unit less than 1 1/2 years old). Could this be the source of all my problems? I changed the interior temperature setting down to 36 degrees, and I also reset the alarm as well, and it has not shown up again.

I wrote under "guest" earlier on Aug 5th. I jave since discovered that the problem is a manufacturer problem. Apparently Liebherr had problems with their sensors, which they have since corrected, but they were put in all the earlier fridge/biofresh. I contacted the Liebherr agent in Melbourne Australia where mine came from (Andi-Co), and they have sent someone out to replace the sensor free of charge (mine has been out of warranty since March 2008). The sensor tells the compressor when to shut off, and when faulty does not do this so the compressor keeps running and freezes everything. I did have to make a bit of a fuss though and write them a letter before they came out. I printed out this page as evidence that it was clearly a manufacturing problem, which they have now confirmed. So I suggest you ask your supplier to fix the problem free of charge. Good Luck!

I would insist that Sears either have a Senior tech come out and fix it or return it to the state it was prior to them touching. Then call some one else. Have them involve the Goodman rep in your area.
SOURCE: my fridge in my fridge freezer keeps freezing everything in it.
If the fridge side is frozen you have a door seal issue.
If the freezer side is frozen you have a defrost component issue.
Your post was not clear as to which side is frozen.

It may be a problem with the damper panels that are situated between the freezer and the refrigerator. Most people note a problem when the damper doors stop opening and food becomes warm. In your case the doors may be not closing properly.
This may be mechanical, the damper louvers assembly is broken, or it may be electrical, the relay switch and motor assembly that operates the damper is not operating properly.
In side by sides the damper is usually in the upper side rear of the refigerator. If you can peer into it, you may be able to see light from the freezer (freezer door open) which would confirm the louvers are open.
Quick fix? duct tape a portion of the opening. It will restrict cold air flow. Costs little, and if you are not particular will work. Other fix. Call a repair man and be prepared to pay about 200 for the parts and labor.
Aloha

is the compressor running too? if not, the relay is stuck.
