My Nokia ph won't send attached contact numbers. When I attach the no and send I get the 'can't send' reply.

I'm assuming that "send" should be "receive" because you most definitely can send attachments from a Hotmail account, no matter what type, as we'll see in a second.
There are two solutions, neither of them pretty:

  1. Have the sender send the attachment again, with a different name, or as a compressed file. ".zip" files are fine. ".exe" files are not. So if your sender creates a .zip archive of the .exe file that he's trying to send you, that you can save, and then decompress back into it's original form and name.
    Heck, just renaming the file is enough. Have the sender rename the .exe file into a .txt file and send that as an attachment. You'll be able to download it, and then rename it back to a .exe.
  2. Forward the attachment to a non-Hotmail account. Hotmail doesn't mention this approach, but sure enough, even though you can't open the unsupported attachments, you can forward them to a different account on a different service. If that service allows you to open the attachment, you've got it.
Hotmail's goal here is, obviously, to make it difficult to open malware in attachments by accident. You have to take steps of some sort; you have to think about it.
If you go through those steps, and you still get infected? Well, it was your own doing.

Yahoo Mail has 2 modes: 1.Classic mode and 2.Standard mode I guess you're in standard mode,I suggest you switch to classic mode, I hope it could help you

I ran into this problem back in October and found a solution. By default EWS limits attachment sizes to ~ 8MB. You can customize the size limit by making changes on the Exchange 2007 server.
Modify C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\Owa\web.config and C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\exchweb\EWS\web.config
Path will vary depending on your Exchange installation. Search for maxRequestLength in both files. Replace with a figure that doubles the actual allowed file size. In my testing 50000KB = 25MB attachment being allowed. Note there are other settings in the GUI of Exchange that can also limit file send size and are well documented in Microsoft KB. Note2: You will have to make this change again after every Exchange service pack.

1) Go to this link and download MalwareByte

(Install it and do an update for the antivirus first by clicking on the 'Update' tab, then do a scan either a quick scan or the other one)

2) Once done, download one more antivirus 'Super antispware'

(Perform and update for this too and do a scan)

This is an increasingly common phishing scam and certainly has nothing to do with FixYa. The attachment if you open it will almost certainly contain a virus or an attempt to get personal information from you or both.

Ignore this SMS. Do not open any attachments it suggests you open or download. Never respond to any such unsolicited SMS unless you are expecting it from a specific person or organisation ((Frankly, there is no organisation in the world that is going to send you an SMS about a job without talking to you on the phone or face to face first).

Do not even reply to the text, since your reply will confirm to the scammer that they have sent a message to a valid phone number. Replying or taking any action guarantees that the scammers will begin to target you more frequently.

Composing Picture Messages

Here are the instructions :

Setting up email:
1:From the standby screen, press the Messaging softkey . Altenatively, press the Menu button, and highlight Messaging .Press Open.
2:Scroll down to highlight New mailbox .Press Open.
3:A message appears: No mailbox defined. Define now? .Press Yes.
4:Instructions appear for the email wizard .To start the email set-up wizard, press Start.
5:In the email address box, type in your full email address .Press OK.
6:You can now type in the name you want to call your email mailbox, or leave it as the default name of your email service .Press OK.
7:You are asked to define the user name and password for your account . Press Yes to continue.
8:In the User name panel, edit the email address until you have your user name - this is usually the bit of your email address before the '@' sign, (though if you're unsure, check with on your email service provider's website).
9:When completed, scroll down using the navigation pad to highlight the Password panel. Type in your email account password . Press OK.
10:After a few moments a message appears onscreen informing you that the email mailbox has been defined .Press OK.
11:The first time you set up, you will be taken into your mailbox and asked: Connect to mailbox? . Press Yes.
12:After a few seconds while the phone connects, you will get a list of email message subject headers onscreen . Scroll through the list to highlight ones you want to view.
13:Press Open to download and view the full email. Scroll down to read the message .
14:If the message has an attachment, scroll to highlight it and press Attachments . Highlight the attachment and press Open . You'll be able to see the attachment in full . Press Close and Back to return to the original email.
To get back to your mailbox, press Back. Alternatively, if you want to reply, forward or see other options, press Options. A list appears onscreen .


　Replying to emails:
1:To reply, highlight Reply. Press Select. Highlight To sender .Press Select.
2:Type in the text of your message. You can also edit or delete the original message if you want to, add new recipients or alter the subject header .
3:When you're ready to send, press Options, highlight Send and press Select .
4:Alternatively, before you send the message you can add an image or other files by selecting Insert from the Options list and pressing Select .
5:A row of icons appears at the bottom of the display, representing different elements you can insert - images, others, video clips, sound clips or text . Highlight and select one of these, and you can search through files to add a suitable attachment. Press Select to add it to your email.
6:When ready to send, as before press Options, highlight Send and press Select .
Checking for new emails　:
1:To check for new emails go to the Messaging menu as before .
2:Scroll down to the name you gave your email mailbox . Press Open.
3:If you're not currently connected, you will be asked if you want to connect to your mailbox . Press Yes. New messages will now be retrieved.
4:If you are already in your mailbox and want to check for new messages, press Options, scroll down to Retrieve email .Press Select.
5:Highlight New . Press Select. New messages subjects will be delivered to your mailbox.
Sending new emails:　

You can send messages as emails as quickly and easily as text or MMS messages.
1:In the Messaging menu, highlight New message .Press Select.
2:Scroll down to highlight E-mail . Press OK.
3:Add the email address, subject and message .
4:If you want to, add any attachments in the way outlined above.
5:As before, when your email is ready to send, press Options, highlight Send and press Select .

Hi there, follow the step.
1. login. 2. compose mail. 3 . TO: type the Email address of your friend. 4. click attach. 5. select the photos and attached it. remember it will take few times to attach . after that you will see Photo icons bellow the attachment bar. 6. give subject & text him what your like to say. 7. press send. Must remember your sender email id is perfect. If wrong then it will bounce back with failure notice. After receive the photo your friend also view the Image icon as like you seen in your below attachment list. If he download the attachment fine then he/she will able to see the photographs. Don't worry That's photo can’t transfer as negative mode. Same the original what you send, Nothing has to be changed.
For a trial you attach a photo and send in your on email id. For exam: [email protected] its your email id. send a photo TO: [email protected] . same time you got a new message come on your inbox, Open that & see how that photo look.
