I want to install a graphic equalizer on my late 60s Magnavox astro sonic . is that possible? it is a console with 34 watts ,2 10 in.woofers and two horns with extension floor speakers added.

Check the balance or fader control and turn it to the left channel and if that doesn't provide quality volume from the left try swapping the speakers.
If there is no improvement there is an amplifier fault...

Is it Astro Sound or Astro Sonic?

I might try radio shack for a belt, and if you here a motor run but table doesnt turn, that is probably what you need to replace. many of these can be lifted out of the cabinet enough to get to things

This set is likely due for a digital upgrade. Feb. 8, 2009 is the last date tha any analog broadcast transmission. some kind of receiver [digital conversion , cable or satelite box] will be required. some sets can take analog cable & then be OK.

I'm not sure that it is the speakers that have gone bad.

Possible workaround: any audio out jacks on this set?
