Count the number of flashes then Google that number fur your model. Each flash represents a different problem.

Hi
In sony tv`s the 4 blink code(sony error codes)usually means that there is a vertical deflection problem.
It is often caused by a faulty vertical output i.c and/or related components. If you feel handy with a soldering iron let me know and i`ll help you with it.
Hope this help Merry Christmas

SOURCE: Red power light and buzzing sound with red lamp light.

If the lamp does not light at all, it is probably a bad lamp. The buzzing may be the ballast trying to start the lamp or a problem with the power supply. Check the lamp and see if the arc tube is broken. If its a new lamp, you should be under warranty. I have the manual if you want to go to me site at allprojectorlamps.com. Just send you email to me attention Bulb Guy

Samsung TV - lights flicker and no standby light

Hi Ashley....Chances are your LED backlights need replacing, if you see a flash then black screen some of the lamps are shorted and the current draw is too high, and the protection circuitry is shutting down the inverter. You can check to be sure the main is working by testing the backlight on pin on the plug that goes from the main to power board, you need to see 3.3 vdc on that pin when you power the set on and it needs to stay at that voltage or you have main board issues

Samsung TV 2016, 49 - no power, no red light, blinking backlight

It sounds like you may have a couple of issues, it's normal for the backlights to come on if the main is unhooked but the flashing sounds like bad lamps. The 5 volts is standby voltage, next step is measure the PS_On pin when you turn the set on and see if you get around 3 volts there, if you don't you have a main board issue.

Why does Samsung led flashes like strobe light.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your set, in its search box on the right column. View it on a desktop or in web View. Mobile view has no search box.

I have a Samsung UN50EH5000FXZA TV. The display went out. When I plug it in, the backlight flickers intermittently with no picture. I do not hear any startup sounds. What component should I replace?

My UN60H6203AFXZA was doing the same thing. 38 of my LED backlights were not working (common problem). Buy an LED tester ($20 some places) then take the back panel off. Disconnect the connector going from the power supply to the LEDs and test the line to the LEDS with the tester (watch videos on-line, it's easy). Replacing the LED strips is kind of easy too, just take one step at a time by watching the yt videos available on-line.

Samsung tv ln37a550p3f

This unit actually uses a back light inverter. That means the backlight is CCFL. The best course of action is replace the inverter unless you noted a yellow tint to the picture BEFORE it failed.

Samsung TV (model UN40H6203AF) 40" LED. No picture, have sound. Flashlight test can see faint menu screen. Have replaced power supply & main boards to this point. Ideas as to what to do next?

Hi Terry,

If you can see the faint picture in flash light means the power supply and the main board is working. The real culprit is the backlight. Even one bad LED in the backlight will switch off the whole array. To repair this fault the panel has to be opened and the defective LED or LEDs are to be replaced.

This is a complicated, delicate and risky job and must be attempted by an expert only. You may end up damaging the screen permanently if you have not done it before and try to DIY.

Red light on power button flashes, but no picture....blank screen

I would suspect a problem in either the backlight assembly, or the power supply that drives it. If it's the power supply, the part may be over $100.
