Most likely the problem is caused because the base is not screwed all the way on to the jar. This could be from just not turning it on all the way or it could loosen while running. Make sure the base is tightly closed before putting is into the power unit. To remove it you can lubricate the tabs with some vegetable oil and then force it. GE service suggested that. I have heard of two people joining forces to get it off without apparently damaging it but no guaranty's. If you have the reciept it should have a two year warranty, at least mine does.

tighten the base or make sure the rubber gasket is in there

My single serve won't lock in place so it will not work what can I do? I have only had it for two months

If it is still under warranty. Get a replacement or you will be forever trying to fix it.

horrible complaints... even from RALPH NADER...

(In my very humble opinion)...

There's trouble.

The whining about ninja's here is quite amazing!!

My ninja base single serve button is always on, even with nothing attached and it can run with no attachment. I cannot use anything but the single serve.

read your owner manual section troubleshooting. However you must test the control board fro defective, but test the main switch for defective use the multimeter for continuity and replace it

Ninja 1100 single serve cup will not come off. it is stuck

I was just having the same problem and looking for a solution...then I found it myself by accident. By pulling up on the cup and then trying to turn it came off pretty easily. I was trying to push down, which seemed to make it tighter.

Ninja works with single serving attachment but not the large attachment

-Return for refund or replacement. It should never have this problem yet.
