there are many ways to EJECT
1: the botton on the try , is marked EJECT
do so>>
2: the tiny hole on front of same tray use unbent paper clip, stuffed in hole and try ejects manually.even drive chassis in hand. by self.
3: windows is this ,not stated, but windows explorer
right click the DRIVE D:>? and click REJECT.
4: in windows, make sure the device manager does not list, the DVD as dead,red/yellow or unknown.
if device manager shows the drive missing or bad you need to get the new driver for it.
so right click the drive (be online) and click update drive.

no full model number stated, 330 is not full. number. so says Lenovo.

btw even a empty tray will eject.
if the disk is cracked or label fell , then only way
2 might work and cleaning the jam by HAND.
if way 2 fails.
only total dismantling the DVD drive can fix it.
true jams are hard work. ok?> physical world deal there.

not one poster here said, the button is dead.
saving this post from going to ALL wAYS it can fail and long.

The CD/DVD drive may be opened by pressing a button on the drive itself. If the drive does not open by pressing a button on the drive itself, or the button is not available on the drive, Windows natively provides the ability to eject the tray with simple methods that can be performed in the File Explorer. The steps vary from different operating systems:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 10
  • Not all systems come with a CD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD drive installed internally to the computer
    • To verify that, you can check the left and right side of your machine. See if there is any slot to insert your CD/DVD. Normally, there is a button to eject the CD or DVD tray for you to insert a disc
    • Another method to identify this is as below:
      1. Click Start and type Device Manager in the search box. Select Device Manager
      2. In Device Manager look for DVD/CD -ROM Drives

If you don"t see DVD/CD -ROM Drives this means your device has no optical drive hardware. An external optical drive will need to be purchased to run CD/DVD. It is also wise to check your product specification to see if your device has an optical drive.
If you were previously able to play CD/DVD and DVD/CD -ROM Drives has disappeared from device manager or your device is not reading the disc please follow > Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs.
  • The format capabilities of the drive are listed on the label on the external cover of the drive
  • The CD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD drive can be opened using the emergency eject hole (Bend away a leg of a paperclip to work with. Insert the paperclip slowly until there is resistance, then gently push until the drive door is opened) Applicable Brands
    • ThinkPad
    • IdeaPad
    ·Windows 10
·Windows 7 Eject disk tray with File Explorer
    1. Turn off all applications currently using the drive. Otherwise Windows will prevent you from ejecting the DVD tray
    2. Hold Windows + E on the keyboard to open File Explorer
    3. Click the DVD drive icon and click the "Eject" button on the toolbar or right-click on the optical drive and choose Eject from the menu that pops up or down.

with the HDD removed no OS at all
    the eject button works
this is first and OP never said it was good
    this button
1 step for man, one step for...
seem they can't RTM either, as this is covered in the manual, RTM first.
that is why it's in print so we dont have to type the manual here 1000 times.

  • Anonymous Sep 11, 2018

if all that fails that is called a disk jam
and is covered (RTM) to with the forceful pin hole
forced eject, method. front of tray, tiny hole.
seen in the manual clear as day.
if this fails only , DVD drive dismantlement works. ok.

recap: 4 ways. (not counting new DVD drive)
1 push eject hardware button, why not?
2: if windows, or lunux, both have a software eject command. ask. (but not freedos?)
3: use the pin hole eject. jammed disks (like one is cracked or label falling off, etc)
4: total drive dismantlement (hard way for sure)

no OS stated by OP so why guess.?
lots of OS exists. endless, or even installed wrong.

  • Anonymous Nov 06, 2018

#4 can happen easy, if say the DISK (DVD) had paper label the fell off.
and the pin hole eject fails.
or kids doing as kids do insert a cracked DVD disk in the drive, and then it cracks more or worse wrecks the whole drive inside.
there really are 4 ways to eject,
I personally have done all 4.
end even repaired the bad DRIVE,
dirty inside, or labels stuck inside.

clear case where hyjackers can not read
and or answer 1 or 2 questions.
1: does PC turn on?> it must first , fans spin?
2; button eject fails>? on the tray (physical)
there is start, lacking these 2 questions,
makes answers long and tedious, and a waste.

SOURCE: Lenovo S series ideapad will find my dlink router no network addr

Generally if you can see the D-Link then everything is trying to talk. Would have to know if the d-link is new out of the box or is part of an existing setup. If the d-link has been part of the network I would suggest that you don't have the security settings correct. If you right click on the network icon and look at the send received numbers. If received is zero then your problem is you don't have the security key (WEP or other type)) setup. If you are getting recieved numbers you may not have the DHCP setup in the d-link. DHCP assigns the numbers to the computer but the d-link has to have this turned on in some models others it is by default.

If both your laptop and dlink are not new and specifically about a year old then I would also suspect that the dlink has died or is dieing on you. If you have had periods of disconnects or slow jerky network acess then these are signs of the dlink having problems. The wireless part tends to go after a year or so while the wired portion probably still works. When they go they are annoying as they work then they won't and so on.

That is you next step to try is to plug in your laptop direct to the wired connection on the dlink to test if the problem is the wifi portion of the dlink. If it connects your problem is the wifi and you probably will have to replace the unit. Next plug it into the cable modem and see if the problem was in the dlink itself.

I have resized partition and install windows 7 on my ideapad y550. after that recovery key is not working and resue and recovery software is not booting in its eviroment.

The recovery partition of you Ideapad Y550 was deleted when you reinstalled OS. You can call lenovo and ask if there is a disc that can reinstall the machine back to its original factory settings that can restore the One key recovery function of your Ideapad Y550.
