Question about Balance CN6555 Notebook
I was working on my computer last saturday and I turned it off for awhile
when I went to turn it back on, all I get is the blue light on the power button.
everything else is black.
the only problems I have been having is I have to manipulate the power chord into different positions to make it work. Could this be my problem.
Please tell me what to do to fix this
Where can I find a motherboard for my 557s. I was having problems and the repairman said the motherboard was bad

Regarding the manipulation of the power cord. This would indicate that you have on of two problems. The first would be a loose power connector in the pc. To fix this, you will need to remove the motherboard and resolder or replace it as may be required. The second is that the cable and/or connector on the power cable that runs from your adapter to your computer is bad. You may be able to repair that problem or you may need to replace the cord. As this may be your problem, I would recommend fixing this problem before going any further.
Regarding the pc not coming on. If repairing the cord and/or connector doesn't fix your system try this. Remove and reseat your memory modules. If that doesn't do it, remove the memory modules, remove the hard drive and replace only one memory module.
If you still don't power up, get back to me and we'll go from here.
Best of luck!
