Saniflo Macerator Noise

Describe your Saniflo & Macerator Pump Problem.
The Saniflo macerator is making a noise which my plumber says is caused by loo paper wound round the drive shaft. He says there is a permitted chemical which will safely dissolve the paper. Can you advise if this is so and where it can be obtained?. A Graham

If it's a one shot cleaning and not an ongong additive, bleach can be used to dissolve the tissue.

Saniflo - macerator not working, toilet blocked and fuse blows instantly

You probably have a dead short in the line. That should fix the problem.

My saniflo macerator plus has stopped working-it had been making a humming noise not draining-now it's not making a noise at all-what might be wrong please?

It could be a blockage in the blade, impeller or the discharge line. Also could be a defective starting capacitor, since the capacitor spins the blade and impeller, if the capacitor goes bad it will make the unit hum and not pump out the waste until eventually it shuts off completely and would not kick on and off at all. At this point, the capacitor may have to be replaced. You should contact Saniflo to order parts.

3yr old saniflo + started making loud vibrating noise and smells also small black particles come out - husband opened top and looks like a mesh thing has disintegrated. Toilet is at end of sink, bath /...

Unfortunately the systems are desiged to pump out. The disintegrated screen thing is part of the maceration end of the system. Your going to have to clean the thing out and replace the macerator.

MY MACERATOR IS MAKING A LOUD GRINDING NOISE IT IS 4 YEARS OLD

Could be something stuck on the blade or impeller. You will have to open the unit and inspect the blade, impeller and drain pipe for any obstructions.

Hi there, i have got a problem with my turboflush; it seems that it struggle alot after flushing, even with a clean flush. it does make a grinding noise as well. it goes on for quite a while whereas before...

It really sounds like something that shouldn't be there is in the macerator/ejector. If you are not familiar with the internal workings, call the plumber who installed it. Best case scenario, it is just something that needs to be removed. Worst case scenario, the macerator/ejector and motor bearings are shot and need to be replaced.

My macerator turns off and stops working for 10 - 15 minutes

the macerator is over heating.check the maintenance opening and clean it ,but you may need a more powerful macerator, some are made only for flushing systems (as in toilets) a pro-longed use may be making it overheat.. good luck
